I’m so excited to announce a new body butter formulation AND seasonal scent collections! Our new Tallow Body Butters have Grass Fed Tallow, Calendula Infused Sunflower Oil, Jojoba Oil, Olive Oil, Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil, Manuka Honey, Vitamin E Oil and a phthalate-free fragrance oil.

Our Summer Collection will be at Mulberry Market - Sioux Falls by this weekend! We have:

*We are unable to ship whipped body butters in the summer because they will melt, so the summer collection will only be available through pick-up only.

This Diaper Cream is GOLD in our household! Milo calls it his “Magic Butt Cream”, and it truly holds up to this name.

The key ingredient in this cream is Non-Nano Zinc Oxide. What is that? I’ll tell you.

Non-nano zinc oxide is a naturally occurring mineral commonly used in skincare for its gentle, protective properties. Unlike nano-sized particles, non-nano zinc oxide sits on top of the skin rather than being absorbed, creating a physical barrier.

Known for being soothing and non-irritating, non-nano zinc oxide can also help calm redness, support irritated skin, and provide a protective layer against environmental stressors. Its gentle nature makes it ideal for all skin types, including sensitive and delicate skin.

Summer Harvest and Summer Spice Simmer Pot Kits are ready to head to Mulberry Market - Sioux Falls!

Summer Harvest includes fresh Navel Oranges, Lemons, Grapefruit and Limes that I sliced and dehydrated myself, fresh rosemary that I dehydrated myself, eucalyptus, mint, bay leaf, ginger, star anise and a vanilla bean. It has an herbal aroma with a hint of citrus.

Summer Spice (my fav!) includes Navel Oranges, cloves, black peppercorns, star anise, cinnamon, ginger, eucalyptus and a vanilla bean. It has late summer/early fall vibes. It has a spicy sweet aroma that fills the house. I have this one on repeat in my house daily.

If you’ve never heard of a simmer pot, I’m about to introduce you to your new obsession! Throw those toxic candles out and get out a pot. Pour 4-6 cups of water in that pot. Pour the contents of the simmer pot kit into your pot and turn it on low. Let that bad boy simmer for as long as you want, adding water as needed throughout the day. A crockpot works great too if you’re gone and want the house smelling divine by the time you get home. You’ll never go back to candles again.

Yes, it’s true. I love knitting and crocheting and will absolutely still be taking on commission projects, so don’t you worry! And everyone and their mothers are still getting hats for winter! But my passion is true health and wellness using things that the earth provides us. Herbs, flowers, animal fats, oils, and everything else that nature can provide.

So while I may have a different name, I’m still here! I’ll still have some knit and crochet items, but I will be focusing on using natural fibers and supporting local yarn businesses instead of large retail stores.

So if you see Rooted Apothecary pop up in your feed instead of Prairie Knits, just know it’s still me and I appreciate every single one of you so much.
