Hi friends!! So…I was referred to an orthopedic Dr due to my hip pain x 1 year. Saw him today. Dr is pondering if it's my frickin problem-child spine causing the pain in my hip. MRI ordered to discover if I have a compressed/crushed nerve between discs. Waiting for insurance prior auth before MRI. If yes it's nerve- options are steroid injections into my spine again like they did for my neck 😭, physical therapy with dry needling?? 🤷♀️ Or neurosurgeon to do something fancy surgically down the middle of the blabbety blah on the stuff and things on the lumbar. My anatomy classes were not THAT in depth to comprehend and absorb all the lingo.
Dr also ordered lab work to rule out any rheumatoid/autoimmune issues that would be rare per him. I'll get my blood drawn tomorrow AM before work. The clinic lab is just kitty corner from work practically.
So, in sum. It's likely my damn spine causing troubles once again. Stay tuned, I’m not giving up on Zumba unless I’m a quadriplegic.
I know you’ve all been so patiently waiting for Zumba to return. I have an appointment with orthopedics on the 17th. That day just might decide if and when our Zumba classes can resume or it’ll mark my retirement from Zumba Fitness after 16 years. This is extreeeeeemely hard to swallow for me (retirement) as I’ve been so proud to be a Zumba instructor to so many amazing people over the years!! Hold positive thoughts for me in hopes that everything goes back to normal soon and we can shake it and get fit together again!! Love ya’s!!

NO ZUMBA TONIGHT!!! My dumb hip isn’t healing very well from a micro-tear in either ligaments or a long muscle that has too big of a name for me to remember. No Zumba this Sunday either. I need to quit aggravating it and just heal. Stay tuned!
