The suns starting to dip out. The evening has been sun-rain-cloudy-repeat. The last hour has been perfect.

Tuesdays tails or tales-
Duchess is trying to adjust to our new schedule and honestly she just wants to snuggle. No pictures, no shenanigans, just love.
I have so much information I am trying to process and not nearly enough coffee to come up with a good tale.
I’m just gonna share a picture from St Mary’s glacier today- if you have ever been there then you know the trail leading to it isn’t easy. The rocks and elevation for someone who lives on the flat prairie made it even more challenging. The view once you finally make it there is so worth the effort!
The start of this week is feeling a little like that 🧗 climb. Stop,take some slow breaths, take the encouraging words from those who have already made the climb, and tighten your laces- it might be challenging but the end is so worth it!!

Side note- who has been Yellow stone? 5 years ago my niece and I took on an awesome road trip that included a few days at Yellowstone. The colors were so amazing. If you haven’t been I hope that it’s on your bucket list.

What direction will Saturday take you? Are you spending the day relaxing? Getting chores done? Meeting up with friends or family? Special events? Perhaps it’s a mix of all of them.

The old saying red sky at morn sailors be warned might just hold true. The weekend might just start out a little wet!
I am still torn as to what my actual weekend plans are looking like but decisions will need to be made soon 😂
It’s been my first full week back at work after the new knee. While work has went okay and actually good to get back in that groove- I haven’t been able to keep up with the rest of my daily life.
The debate between “ I deserve to have fun” and “ I should use the weekend to get caught up” are causing great conflict 😂
So I’m curious what would you do???

Thankful Thursday-
I’m blending throwback and thankful today.
Farrah Faucet want to be hair, that skinny ribbon tie, and the dream of being a serious accountant.
Senior pictures were such a big deal, a mix of fun pictures and then that one that will look best for a black and white for the senior year book.
My classmates celebrate with a reunion every 5 years. We have one coming up next weekend and I’m really excited to see everyone.
In the early years the reunion was a time to share those old stories and the new ones about careers, marriage and family.
You could still recognize all the classmates in the early years but eventually, it’s the shift of losing hair, bodies sag a little and frumpy creeps in. You look at one another, the internal voice says wow they look old. You are convinced you don’t look that old!
But the real focus is on the connection we made those 12 years of our lives. The stories we share about the playground in grade school. The awkward first dances in middle school. The classes we excelled in and the ones that we just messed around in,causing the teachers to prematurely age. The sports records that still stand today. The memory of trips we took with our clubs and teams.
Conversations will erupt with laughter and some may bring a tear as remember those who have gone too soon.
So today I’m feeling a little nostalgic and grateful that I am part of a community that has lasted a lifetime.

Tuesdays tales or tails.
Gluten free food trucks are not easy to come by in my neck of the woods, so when one shows up at the local fleet farm people drive for miles to get in the goodness.
Auntie M’s is the best. I first found them at the Mn state fair waited in line for an hour which seemed ridiculously long BUT not having a corn dog at the fair for so many years seemed well worth it.
Flash forward to last Saturday. Auntie M’s is coming to town and I had missed them last summer so I was going early.
Apparently I got the wrong memo in early, because an hour and forty minute wait was ahead of us and we were there before opening! 😳
All the complaining and standing in line wondering 🤔 do these people need GF or just want it- cuz you all should move out of line if you can have a regular old corndog! Truth though these are better than the pronto pups or corndogs you can get anywhere else. The batter is light and crisp and the dogs are all beef.
They also serve funnel cakes which seemed to be a big hit as well as cheese curds.
My friend and supporter Joye showed up and tried all three. She let us have a sampling of her funnel cake and what a treat.
The line was just as long when we left as when we got there.
