Following a mastectomy and reconstruction, my client wanted to restore symmetry. Using her remaining natural ar**la as a reference, I recreated the color, size, and placement, adding shading to create the appearance of dimension.

Yvette had an already pretty structure to her brows, they were just very light and sparse. I gave them shape, definition and the most beautiful wispy strokes throughout. 🤩

Today would have been my dad’s birthday. Five years ago, we lost him to cancer. We also lost my grandmother to this disease, so supporting the cancer community holds a very personal place in my life.

When I began doing brows, I never imagined this work would lead me to restoring brows after chemotherapy and creating restorative ar**la tattoos after breast surgery.

I couldn’t change what happened to my family. But being able to help someone feel more like herself after everything she has been through is something I’m deeply grateful for.

Remembering my dad today, and feeling thankful for the women who trust me with this part of their story.
