It feels perfectly aligned to start the Lunar New Year in sharing the empowerment, strength and gratitude I feel in being united with my fellow SkinScript Education Ambassadors at the first InspirEd Ambassador Summit💜

Spanning the United States, from East to West coast, 33 boss babes running their own aesthetic businesses were able to gather in the same space with mutual intention: Estheticians Empowering Estheticians. Our mission is simple. Educating and investing in the future generations of estheticians while providing them with the support and guidance to expand into their own career. I can not articulate in enough words how inspiring and uplifting these women are to my soul and personal endeavors.

I have so many acknowledgments to give out, but first and foremost I want to thank our Education Ambassador Coordinator .elisabeth_ for putting together such a thoughtfully curated and impactful event for us ladies. Her conscientious efforts will be etched in my memory forever. I also want to thank our Director of Education Michael, Brand Educator Stacy, School Partnership Coordinator Kelsey and the rest of the staff at SkinScript for providing us with endless support, opportunity for growth and bringing this event to life.

I am forever grateful that SkinScript reached out to me a year ago. They continue to provide me with a wealth of knowledge and the ability to expand my skills outside of the spa which brings indescribable fulfillment.

I recently had the incredible opportunity to return to the place where my dream career first began and to teach what I truly love💚

Earlier this year, reached out to me with an offer to join their team. Skin Script was the very first brand I used when I launched my business and their values have always reflected my own passion for skincare education and client success. Naturally, I jumped at this opportunity!

Thanks to this amazing partnership, I now have the honor of teaching and inspiring students at aesthetic and cosmetology schools throughout the Midwest.

This journey has been more than just a career milestone; it’s been deeply fulfilling. To stand in front of students who are just beginning on their path, knowing I was once in their shoes, is incredibly special and nostalgic. It’s a reminder of how far I’ve come and how grateful I am to now give back in a meaningful way. I am entirely thankful for the chance to be a small part of someone else’s beginning, just like others were for mine.

Here’s to continuing this full circle journey. Honoring where it all started, embracing where I am now and inspiring future generations in aesthetics one student at a time.

Since that unforgettable milestone, I have been continuously reminded of the incredible gift it is to find a career that gives back as much as you pour into it.

My bubbaloo. You are now officially a two-year-old. On November 17th 2022 at 3:20 pm, you blessed me with a type of unconditional love I never thought was possible.
From the moment I first held you in my arms, I knew my heart would always belong to you. You filled every corner of my being with euphoria and a deep sense of wonder.
Watching you grow has been like witnessing a beautiful story unfold. One that I am overjoyed to be a part of every single day.
You have an incredible way of looking at the world with wide-eyed curiosity, and every little thing you do amazes me.
Whether it’s the way you carefully turn every object into a ramp. Sounding out and saying new words, numbers and names even after hearing just once. Hyper-focusing on the small details of a toy, puzzle or random entity figuring out how it works. Asking any person in the room performing a task “what doin?” because you want to help and join in. Catching you having no fear scaling atop tables, chairs, shelves—if it’s climbable, it’s your new mountain to conquer.
Your infectious giggle, sky blue eyes, those make you wanna pinch your cheek dimples. The sly smile you make when you’re about to do something mischievous. Your gentle nature and the way you love so freely. I cherish every morning waking up with a delicate tap on my face and you simultaneously whispering “good morning mommy - I wuff you!” You remind me every day to slow down and be present in the here and now.
My brave boy, Ollie. Whether you’re taking your first steps on an uncharted adventure or tackling new obstacles, keep your authentic heart filled with determination. Even when things get tough, when a mission seems impossible or you’re unsure about the future—keep going. Don’t forget it’s not weak to ask for help.
Even though you’re growing a mile a minute before my eyes, I promise I will always be here. To protect you, listen to you, cheer you on, wipe away your tears, hold you tight when you when you need comfort. Remind you how important and exceptional you are. I will always be your biggest fan, your safe place, and your forever home.

Did you know the name Olive You Aesthetics came to fruition and was inspired by my son, Oliver?

Just like motherhood, no one can fully explain to you all that running a business entails. The unexpected, rapid changes, ups and downs, pivots, laughs and tears.

In all honesty, when I learned that my previous business name had to be changed, I was severely defeated. The small business I grew from the ground up, alongside birthing my son was being taken away from me. I believed the name to be an all-encompassing idea of who I was and what I was trying to create.

How silly was I to think a name was the reason people came to see me or why they would continue to see me? Transition is inevitable. Little did I know just how much sweeter and more personal a new name could become for me.

Oliver is and will always be my driving force, my ‘why’ and my whole world. Similarly, my clients will always be an extension of that passion, affection and care.

So this is an appreciation post for all of you who have experienced this journey with me. Whether you have seen me for the last 3 years or the last 3 weeks, you mean SO very much to me. I couldn’t make this dream possible without you.
