One year ago today, amidst life’s storms, I was submerged in an act of profound faith. ❤️ My soul sister Jayme, also battling cancer, was getting baptized, and I felt an undeniable pull to be there. It was the Holy Spirit 🕊️ - my guide, my rock. 🪨✝️❤️
Two hours later, I was on a plane, my heart filled with a mix of excitement and anticipation. Just two months before, I’d faced my third melanoma diagnosis, and another surgery was on the horizon, though I didn’t know it then. But as I entered those baptismal waters, a wave of peace washed over me. 🙏🏽
Baptized as a baby, confirmed as a teen, and now reborn as an adult, this full immersion was beyond words. It was a reminder that even in darkness, God’s love shines bright. ✨
Life has tested me, but my faith remains. God is my anchor. He is unchanging, purposeful, and faithful. 🙏🏽❤️

Two months ago, this scar was my victory flag, proof I'd beaten melanoma for the THIRD time in a year and a half. Cancer tried to knock me down, but I REFUSED to stay down. Well life's a rollercoaster, not a straight line.
June 1st hit like a hurricane. We moved - me, my son, my friend, and her son - meant we did it ALL ourselves. The stress, the physical strain... my body screamed for a timeout. The incision flared, my psoriatic arthritis went nuclear, my hands became weapons of pain, and my scalp joined the rebellion with relentless itching and flakes. The kicker? I can't take the meds that usually help because of the cancer treatments.
🔥 Add to that the financial strain of medical bills, bankruptcy looming... some days, it's all I can do to keep breathing.But here's the thing: I LOVE my job. I LOVE transforming beautiful women's curls, seeing their confidence shine. It's my passion, my purpose. And my faith... it's my anchor.
🙏 Like Paul's thorn in the flesh, this pain is my constant companion. It's a daily test of my resilience, my grit, my trust in God's plan. But I know I'm not alone in this struggle. We all have our thorns, some sharper than others. And it's our mindset, our unwavering spirit, that gets us through.
👊 So, I'm not letting this break me. This scar, this relentless itch, these swollen joints, this mountain of debt... they're reminders of the battles I've won and the ones I'm still fighting. I'm adapting, learning new ways to work, new ways to heal, new ways to find comfort in God's grace.
🙌 To anyone out there facing their own monsters, know this: You are NOT alone. Don't let fear or pain silence your spirit. Find your tribe, your support system, your reason to FIGHT. Lean on your faith, find strength in prayer, and remember, even in the darkest valleys, God is with you.
💯 This isn't the end of my story. It's just a chapter. And with God's help, I'm writing a good one….. a story filled with resilience, hope, a whole lot of continual personal growth, sprinkled with curly hair transformations and unwavering faith.

Do you KNOW true peace………. Hint #1 : no PIECE of this world can ever give you the true PEACE our Lord Jesus Christ gives. Do the work!! Freedom is in sharing your voice, even when it shakes, rambles , or doesn’t make sense. DO IT ANYWAY!! Do it messy, do it imperfectly, do it like your life depends on it!!!! It has taken 3 decades of emotional BtS work to heal my soul enough to publicly share my story. (I’m a work in progress) and learn to trust again. But I hear her. Everyone wants to hear from their loved one after they cross over. I am not psychic but I am obedient. When I pray, God speaks. He always answers. Sometimes it is yes, sometimes a no, and sometimes it is a not right now. Rejection is Gods protection. So TRUST the process……. Go NOW- heal- LOVE one another. The words every child needs to hear….. “it’s gonna be ok……. “ god has this” ……. I KNOW it is. Thank you mom for the confirmation! I am the vessel……. Mom is the conduit and God is the source of light……. SHE is still having impact on earth. Her legacy lives on…….. and this is a #24848484 chance for our family to truly heal. We have a huge opportunity….. to leave a lasting footprint on your family the way my mom did for us……. to heal our own family wounds. With the horrific crisis in Israel, we need to come together more than ever. Not just via post, but by truly doing the work. It takes within your own family unit. That’s where you start.. start- at the nucleus……. Ask yourself - daily- hourly - moment by moment ……. Ask yourself:::::::::::::: “How can I ” ? How can I serve more…. Trust more….. pray more……surrender more.………..That is where we start……. The rest will fall into place.

Why does Israel matter?

Did you know that the time clock of the return of Jesus Christ isn’t based on America’s timeline? It’s based on what is happening in Israel.

Did you know Jesus wasn’t a “Christian” ? He was a Jew. He celebrated and kept the Jewish holy days and customs, as well as the feasts of the LORD. He didn’t come to eradicate the Torah and writing of the Prophets / Old Testament. He came to fulfill the prophecies that were written in them.

When Jesus returns, He isn’t returning to the United States. The Bible says He is going to plant His foot down on the Mount of Olives and go through the Eastern Gate, which is currently sealed off with 16 feet of concrete. A cemetery was also placed in front of that gate because touching the dead makes a Jew considered unclean and unable to enter the Temple, which is considered Holy. The Word of GOD says He will return there and from there He will rule and reign for 1,000 years.

The final battle isn’t going to be on U.S. soil. It’s going to be in the Valley of Megiddo, in Israel. The Bible says as the nations wage war against Israel Jesus will come and destroy His enemies with the breath of His mouth. 2 Thess 2:8

GOD did not replace the Jews with Christians as some believe. We are actually grafted in with them as you would graft a wild branch into an existing tree.

The Word of GOD says, “When you touch Israel, you touch the Apple of GOD’s eye.” Zechariah 2:8

“He that keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. The LORD is thy keeper.” Psalm 121:4

“I will bless those that bless you and I will curse those that curse you.” Genesis 12:3

We are also commanded to pray for the peace of Jerusalem in Psalm 122.
