🍂Hello September🍂 After a hot girl blonde summer it was time to tone her down a bit. I’m telling all my clients to add a few lowlights to add dimension back into there over washed out blonde and offering to glaze (tone) down their blonde highlights. This doesn’t have to be extreme but just by a shade or two. This will give a fresh look while heading into fall.

Cuteness overload💖 This mother daughter duo came in wanting a color makeover. This was a first time highlight for the daughter but she wanted a bold highlighted face frame. The mother on the other hand was over the long hair and was ready for something a bit richer! What do you guys think? Swipe for the before photos.

Ladies let’s talk consultation!.
1. Bring in your inspirational hair photos. Pinterest is a great tool and of course Instagram.
2. Go over what you love and dislike about those photos.
3. Take your time and make sure you and your stylist are always on the same page. This is probably the most important aspect of a consultation. In some cases my consults takes about 5mins while other can take up to 20mins.
Personally, I dont care if I have to explain something 8 different ways about a color shade or cut. I need to make sure that we are both satisfied with the game plan.

What is dimensional color and do you want that?
-dimensional color is when you have two or more color tones with in the hair to create depth, give the illusion of fullness and length.
- this is perfect for ladies that are thinking their hair color looks flat, too much all over one tone, who would like to see more movement in the hair, etc.

Samantha felt all of these. She still wanted to be blonde with the face (which most heavy blondes do) but she wanted something lower maintenance while also still having the wow factor throughout the length.

Solution: gave her a heavy money piece (as her security blanket to staying blonde, lol. Then I dropped down her roots and have her lowlights. This will allow her natural base to grow out softly. I expect to see her in 6-8 weeks for a color touchup and glaze. I would recommend that after 3rd visit she we would do a partial to bring up her blonde at that time.
