Happy New Year! Or maybe, It’s New Years… no expectation is better for 2022. 2021 was a all consuming year personally and professionally for me. We had A LOT going on at home. Most of it so good, but also SO HARD. And professionally, I was busY AND felt so held by my clients and other hair stylist. I’m learning when to invite other stylist in who could better serve clients. For the clients I got to see this year, you made my job SO FUN. My work is a rhythm that brings so much joy to me and I hope to you. You guys, I prefer uninteresting times. 🥴 With heavy hearts, my partner and I have decided to close our salon until we know more about this disease. We are planning to reevaluate in April. We know it’s the only way to keep everyone safe during this time of uncertainty. My people and our space brings me such peace and joy and love that I can’t wait to get back to it. We bought a mama coffee this morning who was walking around Target with a screaming baby and a busy toddler, and it brought me back to some hard days... sweet mother of all things holy and hard, if you see someone on the struggle bus and you happen to not be on one that morning, ask them if they drink coffee or eat Oreos or need a new pair of sunglasses... and do the thing that will make them happy... because seeing each other and acknowledging the hard is important business and I hope one day my girl (someday women) is seen and taken care of when I can’t be there.

I get to visit with this sweet friend once a week for a style. This week we also did a super hip cut. Love my time with her. ❤️ On a side note...
