A 2008 graduate of the Healing Arts Center, Sara has a genuine passion for creating a healing space for her clients. Sara discovered a type of bodywork called DeepFeet Bar Therapy® and was convinced this was the best type of massage therapy she had experienced! Because she can be above the client, just the right angles allow her to balance both sides of the body. She believes this sends a message

If you’re here and curious, I don’t post a lot here.

In Feb of 2020, I rebranded as Somatic Sole from Sole Shine. Then the world shut down. Since then until the present moment has been an exercise in figuring out how to make sense of anything. There’s been various expressions but we’re moving into the next phase.

To see what that is, you can mostly find me on IG .STL and if you’re really curious, get on my newsletter because that’s where I really share what’s happening.

I also cross post on YouTube and offer a podcast style Conversation with various people I find interesting.

There’s a whole host of past content over on Sole Shine Barefoot Massage Therapy.

I LOVE when other massage therapists choose me to be their massage therapist. It’s a deep honor. And when they say, “you’re the best at what you do.” It means the world. 🌎 I love being able to create nourishing spaces with presence and reverence.

I’m getting ready to open my doors a bit more to receive new clients. It’s time. The pandemic. Raising kids. Figuring out their needs. Space and clients. I’m ready to have more open hours and create new offerings.

Speaking of that. I have a new course coming out soon. If you want to get on the list to be in the pilot program, check out the 🔗 🌲 to stay connected.

And-I have some open sessions SATURDAY (tomorrow) if you want to get in.

1. The LOUD cicadas are the white noise I didn’t know I needed. I LOVE it.
2. Dunkin Donuts coffee is the worst. I keep trying to like it because it’s convenient. Tell me I’m getting the wrong thing.

TELL ME 2 random things from your day.

The clean up. Tending to spaces that facilitate renewal and well-being. I can’t express how meaningful it is to fill this foot bath with water and herbs. To deliver a warm pillow and a towel. To bring a cup of tea. It’s soul food for mine and yours.
I love to see the different ways you use this space dedicated to slowing down.
📍 some journal
📍 some read the carefully chosen book of that week
📍some read poetry
📍 some stare out the window
📍some scroll their phone
The more I do the inner exploration and ancestral healing, the more I find peace in tending these spaces.
If you’re a client of mine and you’ve experienced the conversation prior to or after your session, you’ll find my new offering to be just that. Careful tending in conversation form. Join me in January 9a Thursdays. Call it meditation. Inquiry. Conversation. About the world-both yours and ours. Slow down and contemplate w me.

If you’ve been wanting to introduce barefoot massage to someone—this may be your moment!
Vanessa and I are offering a doubles massage on 11/25.
What is a Doubles Massage?

Essentially, it's a couples massage but we're calling it doubles because you don't have to be in relationship with the person you are with to receive a massage together.
Come in with:
Your bestie
Your roomie
Your neighbor
Your cousin
Your significant other
Whoever!
We're simply opening our space up for 2 therapists (Vanessa & me!) to work in the same room. We have a curtain to separate the spaces to reserve your privacy.

There's only 1 day and 2 times left.

Hi 👋🏻 it’s me, Sara Newberry. I haven’t posted here in a loong time because I’ve been connecting in other places. This social media thing all became too much for me for awhile. Honestly, I’m not real sure I’m ready to come back. Regardless, I’m popping in here because I’m changing a bunch of things so I wanted you to know about it. I’m holding a Alpha ball here because I’ve started incorporating these self-massage balls as a way to bring more proprioceptive understanding into your daily life. I’ve also added a more robust pregnancy/postpartum support into my practice. And I’ve really started working with people who have connective tissue dysfunction. Most of my current postings have been on my new page .stl You’re welcome to join me over there. Just be cool and engage in meaningful conversation and social media will be less hard, k? ✌🏻
