I'm excited to be judging the 2023 DECA Regional Competition in the travel and tourism category. DECA was my favorite subject in high school and it had a lasting effect on me. Deca is a business and marketing organization that teaches young entrepreneurs how to navigate the business world and come up with creative approaches to solve problems. I am honored to be able to volunteer today and help out in this incredible program.

How do you unwind? After a stressful couple of months I hid away in the mountains for a week with my husband and 2 pups. It was magical and just what I needed to recharge. I will be back in the salon on Wednesday, I'm looking forward to being back.

Today was a great day! Every year I put on a self development workshop called Inspirational Atelier. I choose a topic or book, study like crazy and build a class around it for my team. This year co-taught with me and it was amazing. We built a class off of Dare to lead book. I am so impressed with my team's dedication and openness to learn this material. Although this class was not mandatory, everyone showed up!
I love my team, I am so grateful that we have all come together to challenge the status quo.
A special thanks to Catie. You are a natural leader( and educator) . You keep me on track and grounded everyday. You did such a great job today. Thank you for all you do for us

Meet (part of) my associate team. When you visit me in the salon you will notice that I work along side associates while doing your services. What is an associate?
🌟
An associate in our company is a stylist who is fully licensed and has completed all required training to be a stylist in our state. They are either just out of school, or have been in the industry for a few years. When they sign on to be an associate they are signing on to a 6 to 9 month extended training program! The fact that they are the type of stylist that would choose to go through more training speaks to their dedication in their career. Our program can be tough, but in the end it is so worth it.
Our associates not only learn how to perfect their craft but also the soft skills that makes for a successful stylist, they are learning how to decode what their guests are actually wanting even if their guest don't know how to say it. They also learn new ways to approach color and style in a creative way to allow the best possible experience for their guest. They are developing an eye for color that typically take years to develop, learning from watching me, taking classes, test and homework, needless to say they are working hard!
🌟
When an associate is helping me you get a celebrity-like experience! With their help I'm still able to take new guest, be flexible with my guest in emergencies and get my clients out in less time so you do not need to spend 3-5 hours in the salon for big color projects.
All of our stylists have been an associate before. This program allows us to have a very elevated base level of skill and education in our salon, no matter who you see you are always going to get a great service in our salon!
This program is my baby, I am extremely proud of it. Running our program is one of the most fulfilling things I do in my work. It is the future of our company πŸŽ‰

Hi there, I've had a lot of new followers since I last introduced myself. My name is Erin Mohr and I own . I lead a team of 9-almost 10. Owning this salon, coaching and mentoring has become a dream come true for me. I have been a hairstylist for 13 years working for for 7 of those years.
Behind the chair, I specialize in color and hair extensions and work will all textures of hair. My favorite thing to do behind the chair is complete color transformations. I always love to come up with new ideas for my clients. I love to dig deep to understand not only what they want but why. I seriously have the very best clients!
As a mentor, I work with 2 associates teaching them not only how to do beautiful hair but also how to communicate with their guest. They help me give my guest a celebrity experience. With my associates, I am still able to see new guest, without my associate team I would have a 6 month waiting list.
As a salon owner and coach i lead my team, develop new systems for the salon and empower my stylist to reach their full potential. I am creating a salon where everyone feels welcome and happy.
I'm a wife and dog mom.

How do you know you're living your dream? When you look around and realize that you are surrounded by the most incredible people on the planet! 🌍 The people who work for me in my salon are nothing short of outstanding!! Not only are they total rock stars behind the chair but they all stand in our values of integrity, empowerment and knowledge each and every day.πŸ’œ
I am continually in awe of each and every one of them and they're determination to grow and become better versions of themselves everyday. I learn so much from them. I always wanted to become a salon owner but I had no idea how truly awesome it would be to become a coach and mentor. Despite the extremely long hours, 6-day work weeks and always being on call in a sense, always having to remember to be a role model 😳, I truly love what I do behind the chair, and behind the scenes as a salon owner. I seriously cannot imagine a better life that I am building for myself.

I am so excited to announce that I passed my color Specialist program with honors!
I’m now one of 25 L’Oreal Color Specialist’s in the US and one of 2000 in the world!
Color Specialist is the highest level of color education that we can get. This program started in 1998 in the UK πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ and this is the first time it’s been offered in the US. It tought me things that after 14 years behind the chair, 7 of those years teaching for our hair color company, I had never before heard of. I am now part of an International Color Congress for Color Specialists only and have the opportunity to travel internationally to attend these special events.
I worked so hard for this, I had no idea what I was getting myself into; a trip to NYC, LA, and 6 virtual sessions, the hours of homework, the hours of class, homework deadline and of course the 3 hour written test that left me feeling dazed and wanting to cut off my hand 🀣 all while running my business, settling up my mother's estate, planning a kitchen renovation and so much more.
This program challenged the way I think about color and changed me as a person. I not only got through it, but I did it with honors! I will even get a cap and gown ceremony next summer too!
I am so grateful for my clients, teammates, family, friends and especially Todd, your support and encouragement helped me more than you know
Also a special thanks to my teachers and class mates who helped me so much.

Today I completed the L'Oreal Professionnel color specialist program. I got into this class because I needed inspiration after losing my mom. I also wanted to reinvent an elevate the color program in my salon. I was completely unprepared for the workload required for this program and often times left me feeling overwhelmed and defeated, but I did it! I have always known enough to know that I didn't know everything. This program allowed me to figure out why I would have to course correct, and how to prevent me from having to do so in the very beginning. Although most of what I learned is too advance to teach directly to my stylist, I am becoming a stronger colorist and they are learning from me. Most of all, I overcame adversity and grew in ways that I didn't know that I had left to grow. I'm overwhelmed with emotion and extremely proud of myself for completing this program. I won't know for some time if I passed or not but I do know that you can't take this information out of my head and I am a different colorist now then I was before. I'm extremely proud of everybody in my class and thankful for my teachers. Today I joined a small group of only 2,000 color specialist worldwide! Cheers to New beginnings in New paths in this beautiful career of mine!

Paying attention to texture makes all the difference when coloring hair.
Higher curl/coil textures are
πŸ’¦ Often dry and dehydrated
🩹 More prone to breakage
πŸ’œ Needs to be handled with care
Luckily our color line has a large selection of gentle products that will not only prevent damage from happening but also repair past damage during the color service! It's incredible that your hair can actually feel better after coloring than before you started!
I am now taking new color clients! DM me for more information or use the links in my bio to book your appointment!

Looking for your dream hair? Kristen has been looking for full, extremely long platinum hair all of her life. This weekend we gave it to her with a full head of K Tip extensions from . They matched so beautifully you couldn't tell where her hair ends and the extensions begin.
I love the versatility that K Tips give, you can wear your hair up or down and these low maintenance extensions fit all lifestyles.

Before and after πŸ’œ
My favorite part of extensions is how customized the whole experience is.
I installed a combination of 2 different colors and 2 diffferent methods, to give this seamless blend. The I Tips and a volume weft combination that I used allowed me to not only achieve the volume that I wanted but also allow me to integrate the extensions into her hair with a much smoother flow.
I love working with hair it's so soft!
Can you tell what is her hair and what is not?

In 2016 I completed my Balayage Certification. About 5 years before that, I started my Balayage journey.. as I learned more I became more determined to master, but the more I learned the harder it was to be satisfied with my work.
This Certification program was life changing, and not just because of the method I learned but because of the experience and the people apart of it
πŸ’œ
When I started Balayage Certification in 2015 I was certain that I was going to quit doing hair. I was at a new salon, I didn't feel like I had a home or purpose in this industry. After an hour in the first class I was able to reignite my passion and drive in this industry. There is something magical about the L'Oreal Professionnel academy in NYC, it not only inspires but it is also like home. It's been 3 years since I've been to an academy class due to the pandemic, I'm so thankful that I'm heading that way this fall. Right now I need these classes more than ever. I'm seriously counting down the days!
