I will make this as sweet & short as possible….
When I started Hairlines a tad over 4 years ago I used every resource available to help network & market during a global pandemic. Fast forward to now: business is flourishing, I’m making amazing local connections & finding support. Social media is negative energy for my brain and general well being & disrupts balance. The best part! To boot I am/was being harassed on here for (ironically) the LENGTH OF MY HAIR making me “look like a boy” followed by other inappropriate remarks & voicemail messages. Yes, I reported it but facebook has allowed them to stay, & told me I can “block them” which says to me that they don’t care. Guess what: I don’t give two sh*ts what strangers (or almost anyone) thinks about me or my hair choices nor do I need feedback from insecure, micro minded people who want others to be as miserable as they are. I’m finding minimal professional interaction on this platform making it feel like more work, so it’s time to go. If you need/want to communicate with me, this is not the place for it as I will be DELETING my FB account this weekend. I need REAL LIFE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT!! Let’s encourage each other the old fashioned way 📞

Attention Hairlines Clients! My online booking system (Square) is currently DOWN FOR THE COUNT!!! (their “customer care” wastes my time) I disabled it since it was allowing clients to double book appointments. If you’re a returning client PLEASE CONTACT ME DIRECTLY via TEXT to schedule your Hairlines service. If this isn’t fully resolved in the near future, wave goodbye to online booking. I have a short fuse for tech issues/time wasters.

Important Hairlines Update! If you are family, a friend, or client for more than 4 years please keep reading! I’ve been using 1 phone for 2 lines since summer of 2020. It wasn’t a huge issue when business was quieter. Now the salon has been consistently busy (wooo hooooooooo!!!) so I am happily assisting clients with scheduling, which requires extra juggling. I really need ya’ll to help me establish better boundaries! If you have both numbers & only message me about salon services please save 814.325.1417 as Hairlines (by Leanne) now its own device. Erase the **60 line if we don’t chat outside of the salon. If you message me both personally and professionally please create a NEW CONTACT (not in addition to current info) with the salon number. It will take time for us to get used to this new way but I really need this to work for my own sanity. It is a welcomed change- a result of success! Hairlines turned 4 this week & I found myself feeling mucho grateful for all of you who helped keep it all alive. For those who tell me you miss my nature photos, I heard you ;)

I saw a favorite Hairlines customer in the grocery store recently who told me they missed me because she couldn’t find an online availability. I replied that I wish I’d known because I would have accommodated! If you consider yourself a loyal Hairlines client please don’t hesitate to contact me for scheduling assistance. If this rings a familiar tune for you I can only help if I know you’re trying. New clients are required to use online booking which creates more room for you! Because I don’t have employees I only manage my own time and reliable clients get royal treatment as part of the benefits. I assure those who’ve shown concern that I’ve created healthier habits in order to find balance, including not working on days off, capping hours p/wk, being generally disconnected from social media, and saying no when I can’t. Screw feeling like I’m 80 when I turn 50!!!! I make mistakes like everyone which I’ll own & try to make right but my overall reliability has improved. I’m still getting new clients so there’s certainly room for HBL familia!

A kiddo in my chair and I were recently having a fun discussion regarding mirrors & cameras and portrayal & such so they took a photo of me to use for the subject. We were into it.

If you’re one of the many sicklings out there please continue to take extra care and avoid the public. All the gunky crud going around leads to open salon appointments & keeping a weekly cancellation list has saved my hide on many occasions. Hairlines is nearly booked by regulars for the week of WINTER SOLSTICE (🤍) but there’s still appointments to be filled this week! Seasonal changes to my schedule will apply the first week of 2024 but shouldn’t affect salon flow. I’m anticipating celebrating the official change of season holding the reminder that longer days are in sight. Winter’s arrival will succeed personal recognition of an unbound, 1 year of no booze! Cheers to Gratitude and ZERO hangovers! ..
