tablished early 2021 as a black-owned business operated by a black couple, Lakeysha & Comardo Roofe; sourcing and producing pure, natural, and organic products for people of all tones and ethnicity. I am Lakeysha and the concept I now call Holistic Selfcare, started in 2017 when I decided to create my own personal care remedy. I have been a chef operating restaurants and creating beautiful delicious dishes for over 15 years, and if your someone who works in restaurants then you know, the hustle and bustle is real. How I handle all of that is, I am a firm believer in selfcare and relaxation. When I got home from a long day at work, I normally take a moment for myself and focus on me. I would burn an incense or a candle that put my mind at ease, then run a warm bath to soak away my long day. Then from there I move into my skin care routine; healing my skin back to its glowing beauty. While my selfcare routine was easy the difficulty was in finding the right product for me and when I did, they were always too expensive. The bath blends I would normally use lost its aroma in a few minutes, disruptive my whole vibe, and the moisturizer I would use was lacking the natural beneficial properties my skin loves and needs, or sometime it would cause breakouts. So, I decided to put my creative recipe making skills to work and make my own self-love products. I sourced natural ingredients that would give me healthier amazing looking skin, and therapeutic essential scents that relaxes and calm the mind and spirit. My products were then introduced to friends, families, and co-worker all of whom give me wonderful feedback. With a bit of self-motivation, and encouragement from my husband, Shea Budda Baby LLC, came to life. Our mission is to supply our customers with quality hand-made products, made with nature’s finest and purest ingredients, that gives our customers a more holistic approach to their selfcare routine, at fair and competitive prices.
