I’ve been hesitant to post anything on my business page as the stigma is “keep your personal life private”. However it’s no secret that I pride myself on being honest, vulnerable, and transparent as a business owner.

Ever since I was a little girl, I had a passion for nails. At 9 years old (picture below), I was ecstatic to get two polishes in my stocking. I’d use toothpicks for nail art.. and anytime I’d get the opportunity to go into Dollar General with my mom, I’d beg for just one new polish. I was 16 when I finally became a professional nail technician. This little girl below would have NEVER imagined she’d have her own salon. She’d never believe that her tiny nail collection is now so big she can’t keep up with swatching colors. She’d also never believe the heart ache she’d go through in life.

About 7 weeks ago my anxiety and depression started to get worse. There’s truly no need to try and express the many contributors as we all have things going on behind closed doors. My clients could see it. My family could see it. I could see it. I’d wake up and try with everything in me to feel normal… to feel okay enough to work. For a few weeks I made it work. I shoved it all down, cried the 20 minutes to work.. showed up 2 minutes late and forced a smile. Driving home in complete silence with no desire to ever turn around. I couldn’t fathom I had that desire. How could what I love so deeply not fix the pain ?

If you have ever delt with depression than what I am going to say will make sense to you, but if you haven’t than I envy you.
After trying to ignore all the things, my body and mind decided to take over. My panic attacks worsened and multiplied. I didn’t want to leave my bed in the mornings. I was skipping meals.. feeling sick. Only desiring sleep and not your average sleep.. but a sleep where you just don’t wake up. Experiencing that kind of pain where you can’t get out of your head that life isn’t worth living. Feeling so alone it’s like no one is present even when they’re right in front of you. I hit the point I felt I had worked so hard for so long to avoid: suicidal.

*Now to set the record straight- speaking out about su***de is NOT attention seeking.*

Even with an insane amount of guilt, I knew I had to put myself first. Which feels wrong to me, but it was necessary. On November 12th, I made the ultimate decision to cancel all booked nail appointments.
I’m sure at this point you’re wondering why I didn’t just get on here and make a simple little post saying Bella Rose Beauty Bar is currently not providing nail services? I say all of this to tell you this:

Your life matters
You are worthy of love
You are enough
You deserve happiness
You are needed
& there is NOTHING wrong or shameful about seeking help. Please hear me when I say that no career or really anything of the sorts is worth more than your life. Please don’t give up.

I will continue to get better. That little 9 year old girl who currently has all she dreamed of, deserves that. This isn’t forever, it’s just a season.

Hello beautiful people!! There are so many new faces on our social media platforms I felt it was fitting to do some re-introductions.

For those of you who don’t know me, I am Ashley Stine the owner of Bella Rose Beauty Bar. I am a licensed Nail Technician & Esthetician. On top of my role of being the salon owner, I am also the lead Nail Technician here at Bella Rose! I’ve been a nail tech for.. well going on year 6!! That’s crazy. I opened my salon last year in March with only two weeks to get it all done. Since then we’ve added new services, expanded our space, maxed out our nailed service books, and are on our way to adding new things every day.

I know there has been some confusion with there being three of us at the salon. So I figured it was easier to just make a post to refer back to.

As you saw a little while ago I shared how our nail books are currently closed. Which is insanity. Last year alone as I was just getting started, I provided over 550 nail services (of course starting in March). I have been overwhelmed with support from day one and I struggle to find the words to say thank you. We are still at max capacity for nail services but our waitlist is open!

As I mentioned previously I am not only a Nail Technician but a salon owner. Being a salon owner is a job in itself. With new tenants providing services and our salon growing, I need to balance my two jobs a little better. So listed below will be some updates. The policies are all the same and they do stand for our other providers as well for reference.. but to make clear, these are NAIL updates. The hours listed below are solely for the hours I will be providing NAIL services. Our salon hours are not the hours listed below.

Now I’m sure you’re asking yourself.. what do I do if my appointment is outside of these hours? No worries. I will be honoring all standing appointment times.. however, from my soonest availability (the third week in October) and when I’m currently booking appointments as of right now, these hours will be in effect. In terms of new service pricing, they will be in effect for appointments on Aug. 1st and so on.
