Howdy! Welcome to my page! Open Wings Homestead is brand spankin' new and I'm just getting my wings off the ground. I am currently concentrating on soaps and moisturizers, but I have big plans for the future!
Open Wings Homestead was started with the goal of being as self sufficient as possible someday. There have been some pretty amazing people that have inspired me to make this lifestyle change, and maybe my journey will inspire someone else. I started with soap because, well, everyone needs soap! Once I started making it, I didn't want to quit! I honestly had so much fun creating my recipes and bringing them to life that I decided I wanted to share that with other people. Every recipe is like its own mini science experiment! Now, my soaps aren't all that pretty or anything... I've seen some really amazing soap creations and some of them border on being art. Someday I might try to make something like that, but for now I'm just enjoying the process of normal plain old soap. LOL. I've also enjoyed making salves and lip balms because I never new I could make something that smelled so dang good! But my friends and family have all really loved them, so I must be doing something right! I have plans to make lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, room and linen sprays, and so much more! And Open Wings Homestead won't only be selling soaps and cosmetics. Like I said: big plans! I really hope you'll follow along!!!
