Ever had your lash extensions suddenly look crinkly, frizzy, or burnt…?

Chances are… it was HEAT!

Lash extensions are made from fibers, which means high heat can melt or singe them. Daily lifestyle things like opening a hot oven, getting too close to a candle, lighting a lighter, or even direct heat from grills and blow dryers can cause that scorched look almost instantly. Way faster than you think actually! 🥴

The good news? It’s completely preventable, and if it haven’t been added to your aftercare it definitely should be!!

Keep a safe distance from heat sources, turn your face away when blowing out candles, and be mindful of that rush of heat when opening an oven. A little awareness goes a long way.

As lash artists, this is something we should be coaching our clients on, because when lashes look “fried,” it’s not the application… it’s environmental damage.
