My sweet baby! In just a couple of months she’ll be on her way to college. She’s grown into this beautiful soul. I’m going to try not to worry her 🥴 but I’ll be either going to her her bringing her home to give her that good shampoo and retie cause the way some of these folks are imma go awf if someone messes her hair up!

It’s a little long but very important and informative.

The best term to use is resistant. The water absorption can be resistant rather than repel. To repel moisture from the hair means your hair will not get wet at all if it comes in contact with water. The hair will remain 💯 the same unaffected, undisturbed, unbothered . Every hair still in place. It is not possible for oils to do this. The only way this is possible is with a waterproof head cover or very specific products designed to intentionally repel water. If you feel your hair is resistant to moisture absorption I invite you to explore these questions: Do I was my hair weekly or as needed? Am I using products that actually help my hair get soft and absorb moisture easily? Is my hair dry or is it actually in need of a haircut? Am I using a shampoo that’s drying my hair out? Am I applying a leave in conditioner that helps seal in the moisture? Please remember, hair care is personal. If something seems to work really well on your hair and it’s thriving, use it. If it’s not thriving don’t use it. For the record I love oils.
