The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) has temporarily closed approximately 54 acres of the Victoria Bluff WMA to hunting after bait was discovered in the area. The closure has been clearly posted with signs and will remain in effect until further notice. Officers will be closely monitoring the site, and anyone hunting in the closed area will be charged.

It is illegal to shoot into, onto, or across WMA areas closed to hunting, or to attempt to take wildlife within a closed area, pursuant to S.C. Code of Laws 50-11-2200.

We remind the public that hunting violations can be reported anonymously by contacting the Operation Game Theif Hotline at 1-800-922-5431 or submitting a tip via mobile phone- text 847411 (TIP411) with the keyword SCDNR and your tip information.
