You can find me in Sun Prairie or Madison 😚
I knew the physical toll that paddling and portaging all of our gear would take on my body, so I planned ahead!
One of my essentials that I made sure to pack for my trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area was my trusty cork ball. It’s light, and combined with a well placed rock or tree (or the flat ground!!) it worked wonders to help me stay limber.
Applying pressure over time to tight or tender areas is a great way to reduce muscle tension and increase tissue mobility. I wasted no time pulling out my cork ball after an intense day of paddling, and felt better for it!
Our bodies can do hard things, especially if we take care of them in the process. 🫶🏻

There’s some new faces around here so I figured it was time to reintroduce myself. ☺️
I’m Maya, a Madison-based massage therapist passionate about you and your relationship to your body. I believe bodywork is an incredible tool for managing pain, stress, and mobility in our every day lives. I also work with clients to find ways they can support themselves when they are off the table.
If I had to describe my work, it would be intuitive + nervous system first. I blend a lot of techniques to meet your body where it’s at, and to achieve your goals.
As an owner of a bendy body myself, I am well equipped to work with those living with hyper-mobility and EDS. Added supports for joint stability, gentle work, and affirmations that these bodies are doing the best they can with what they’ve got.
I periodically host partner massage workshops, and love every second of it. Empowering people to take matters into their own hands (pun intended 👐🏼) and support their loved ones never gets old.
When I’m not at the studio, you can find me giggling with my family on our D&D podcast Dicesized, or near any bubbling body of water. I’ve also been dipping my toes into improv comedy and it fills my circus kid cup to overflowing. 🤸
That’s all for now, thank you for being here, seriously. I am impressed by my clients dedication to their wellbeing every day. You inspire me more than you know.
If you have any questions about me or my work, feel free to comment or send me a DM! Always happy to chat.
If you are curious about my work and how it would benefit your body, you can book with me in Madison or Sun Prairie. The 🔗 in my B!o will take you where you need to be. 🫶🏻
And dare I say… it SHOULD be 🫢
The battle against the mindset “no pain no gain” when it comes to receiving bodywork is real.
Pain activates our sympathetic nervous system (think “fight or flight”). If you meet that painful area with speed and force, it adds to the stress already on your system and leads to more bracing and tension overall.
This is why I blend in relaxing techniques to make sure my clients are sufficiently oooey-gooey before I start any deep work. By working WITH the nervous system and not against it, I can coax those guarded muscles into releasing more effectively.
Don’t get me wrong, even slow relaxed deep work isn’t always comfortable. Using breath work is one way to send calming messages to your body as we work through the spicy bits 🌶️
That’s all for now, happy melting ☺️
Preventative self care is HOT, y’all. 🔥
This is your compassionately aggressive nudge to put yourself first 🫵🏻
You know where to find me (🔗 in B!o 😘)

Just your friendly neighborhood bodywork cheerleader dropping in to remind you that massage therapy is more than just a luxury, babes.
My clients come to me for relief from many different reasons:
Chronic pain management
Nervous system support
Injury prevention
Injury recovery
And much more!
Here’s your nudge to try booking a bodywork appointment for that nagging “something” that’s been taking away from your everyday life.
I’m here for you, and we can figure it out together 😊
🔗 in B!O and I’ll see you soon!
And I’ll say it again: I love my job!
One of my favorite parts is growing with my clients as they encounter different chapters of their lives.
Need help peeling that sunburn you can’t reach? Got you. Need a good cry? Here’s a tissue. Celebrating a big win?! Let’s make sure your body feels its best. Body growing a human? Let’s find you some comfort.
It is my literal honor to be present through all of your changes, challenges, and celebrations. Your body is with you through it all, and so am I! 😊

One thing about me is…I’m a sucker for informed consent (and peace sign selfies ✌🏻)
I believe in sharing ALL information with clients so they can make informed decisions about their own bodies and comfort levels. This shows up a lot in bodywork, making sure that clients know my process, what to expect, and talking about their treatment goals before they get on the table.
This showed up in a big way today, as my partner has come down with an icky bug this week. I reached out to each client I’m seeing and let them know what was going on, and that although I did not have symptoms, I would be wearing a mask. I gave each of them the opportunity to decide if they were still comfortable coming in for their sessions.
And just like that, informed consent was in action. I didn’t have anyone coming in to me wearing a mask and have questions or worries. Everyone had autonomy over their bodies and could asses the risk for themselves.
We. Love. Informed. Consent!
With sickness swirling as it is these days, it only benefits you and your community to share information, make informed decisions, and keep each other safe. Sharing is caring, when it doesn’t involve germs 🤧
Take care of yourself and others and keep those germs to yourself, cuties!
Xoxo 🤍
We are a week and change into March and I am still buzzing about my workshops in February 🐝
I hosted two workshops for partners looking to learn ways to support each other at home. 🏠
The first workshop focused on the upper body, learning ways to soften the neck, shoulders and arms. For the second workshop we moved into the lower body, and we tried out several moves to help our partner stiff low back, hips, and feet.
It was an absolute blast, and I can’t thank those of you who made it out to these workshops enough. I have found so much inspiration and joy from teaching bodywork to couples, and frankly anyone who will listen. Hehe.
If you couldn’t make it in February, fret not. This isn’t the last of my teaching for this year! I plan to host more partner bodywork + self release classes in the near future. You can also catch me teaching a segment for the Growth Lab Workshop at Twisted Grit - March 22nd!
Okay, gushing session over (for now 😘)
Talk to you soon, and be nice to your body for me, okay? 🌿
