As I sit here reflecting on the last few days of 2025, I’m honestly a little speechless.
​It’s crazy to think that The Sandlot didn’t even exist at the start of this year. When we officially unlocked the doors on April 4th, we had a vision of what this place could be. We wanted to build more than just a spot to get a haircut. We wanted to build a staple here in Sylvania.
​We haven't even hit our official one-year anniversary yet, but closing out this 2025 calendar feels like a massive milestone. In just eight months, you guys have turned this shop into a home.
​To the Day Ones who walked in that first week when the paint was barely dry, thank you for taking a chance on us. To the new faces who have become regulars, thank you for trusting us with your image and your time.
​A barbershop is just four walls and a chair until the community fills it. Thank you for every conversation, every laugh, and every handshake this year. You guys made 2025 one for the books.
​We are closed tomorrow for New Year's Day, but we are back at it on January 2nd. If the last 8 months were the warm-up, 2026 is going to be the main event.

Every vote, share, message, and in shop scan meant more than you know. This last year has been unreal. Long hours, nonstop grind, and finishing the year booked out with the best clients around.

This shop is built on community.
That part is undeniable.

Here are my personal days off for the holidays:

Closed:
• December 23rd – Tuesday
• December 24th – Wednesday
• December 25th – Thursday
• January 1st – Thursday

I’m taking a little time to spend the holidays with my family — but the shop isn’t 100% closed.
Joe and Kayla are independent barbers and may still be working during these dates depending on their schedules.
