While scrolling through pages and pages of faces and stories of the many who lost everything in the fires that devastated our communities in September, this one gave me pause. It reminded me that when disaster strikes, it is often our low-income, working class BIPOC communities who are hit the hardest. Many don’t have access or won’t qualify for relief funds or insurance claims. Many lived in mobile home parks that insurance companies just won’t insure. This fund will directly help those hard working and underserved families in our communities of Talent, Phoenix, and Medford. We need your help! For the last 2 months we have pledged to donate 10% of all our sales to Local Fire Relief. We’ve decided to take the lump sum and give it to a family in need through . Those of you who know me well, know that I’ve always “worn many hats”when it comes to my business endeavors. Often simultaneously, and sometimes consecutively. Well friends, I’m officially announcing my new hat, and next chapter in my life. We will close out the year with Bramble & Oak, and then let it go. This decision did not come easily or lightly...we’re incredibly proud of the work we did. The integrity of the products, the design, and getting out there in the community to share this work with all of you. I personally learned a lot, and I don’t regret any of it! That being said, it is so hard to say goodbye to this sweet little business. I have Bramble & Oak to thank for so many new friendships, contacts, and experiences over the last few years. Thank YOU for being there with me. Honestly, my only worry about moving on is that I will be disappointing all of you. I sure hope that’s not the case, but if it is, I’m sorry for that. So, what’s next? Well, We’re hoping to sell out of inventory by the end of the year, and starting now, we’d like to donate 10% of every sale to Alameda Fire Relief. I’ll keep you posted on details, as I’m still researching exactly where I’d like that money to go. Time to stock up on all your favorites before they’re gone, and know that your purchase will be helping someone in need as well. 2020 has been nuts, I think we can all agree. I’m choosing to view my experience as a gateway. To new beginnings, fresh perspectives and wild leaps of faith. My husband and I have been quietly building this next chapter over the last two years, and we’re finally ready to fly.
