A day of freedom, remembrance, resilience, and truth.

At Bumblebee, we believe care should always include dignity, safety, and belonging. As a business owned by someone whose family story includes both a Puerto Rican father and a mother whose family escaped Jewish persecution, I know this is not the same story and I want to be careful not to make it about me or that.

But I do know that history lives in families. Freedom matters. Safety matters. Being seen matters.

So today, we honor the Black American community, the weight and the joy of this day, and the ongoing work of making spaces where people are treated with humanity, respect, and care
