What’s different about our tallow based soap? Tallow is incredibly effective in improving skin cell health due to the similar makeup it has to our skin. Since it is so compatible with how our skin is made and our skin’s natural sebum, tallow works with our skin to moisturize, soothe, and repair it without clogging pores. We source our tallow from local, grass-fed, organic farms that are all within an hour from our home. The benefits of tallow soap include:

-The palmitic and stearic acid in tallow help to make a hard, long lasting soap bar
-Tallow helps to produce rich, creamy lather that is gently cleansing and wonderful for skin.
-Deeply moisturizing and nourishing
-Contains Vitamins A, D, K, & E, & B12, all of which are exceptionally beneficial for skin
-Helps to prevent skin’s loss of moisture

I feel like I don’t talk about our Youthful face cream enough, but it is a best seller. And for good reason! I wanted to create a product that would support my skin as I am aging! So many products out there claim to be anti-aging, but are extremely toxic to our bodies, disruptive to our hormones, and don’t support a healthy pregnancy, fertility, and lactation. I wanted to create something that would be safe for women (and men!) in all stages of life. Our Youthful Face Cream is a beautiful combination of our house rendered grass-fed and finished local tallow, calendula infused organic jojoba oil, and essential oils that support aging skin

Frankincense:
Frankincense essential oil is a valuable ingredient in skin care products for aging and dry skin. The ancient Egyptians used it in rejuvenation face masks. It has cleansing benefits to the skin, making it ideal for blemish-prone skin. It also decreases the appearance of pores and fine lines and assists with evening skin-tone.

Geranium:
Geranium is a natural anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory oil. It actively boosts skin’s health and natural glow. By helping skin stay conditioned, and soothing irritated or breakout prone skin, it fights against skin affected by harsh weather conditions or prone to acne. It is also effective in minimizing the look of wrinkles because it tightens facial skin and slows down the effects of aging.

Lavender:
Lavender essential oil helps lighten the appearance of age spots and scars. Lavender has antibacterial and antifungal properties which helps to fight acne. It soothes skin by decreasing inflammation and reduces redness.

It’s the place we got engaged. The place I started my nursing career, my dream job as a labor and delivery nurse at TGH. The place we got married. The place we re-dedicated our lives to Jesus through baptism at . The place we bought our first home. The place we welcomed our first baby to the world. The place where we dedicated our son to the Lord with our church community. The place where we celebrated countless memories. The place where we still have friends and family. My heart is so heavy watching as Tampa prepares for the second hurricane in less than 2 weeks. My prayers are with the city we love so much and all the people we love.

These are two tried and true snack recipes that we make almost every week! While I do love some of the healthier store bought bars like Skout bars, these are definitely more cost effective! Plus getting my kids in the kitchen with me is something we all absolutely love! I want to show them how fun and easy it is to make nourishing foods at home! Snacks are a huge budget sucker so making homemade snacks saves us big time!

Brownie energy balls:
-1 heaping cup dates (we buy whole dates and pit them ourselves)
-1/2 cup sprouted nut/seed mix (we did walnuts, pistachios, and pumpkin seeds this time)
1/4 cup nut butter of choice
1/4 cup flax seed meal
1 TBSP chia seeds
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
2-3 TBSP cacao powder
Sprinkle of salt

Combine dates and nuts in a food processor until they come together. Then add remaining ingredients until everything is mixed together. Add more dates or nut butter if needed to get a dough like consistency. Roll into balls and store in the fridge!

Chocolate chip cookie dough energy balls
1.5 cups sprouted organic oats
1/3 cup raw honey or maple syrup
1 cup nut butter (we use cashew)
1/4 cup flax seed meal
2 TBSP brewers yeast (optional but great for breastfeeding mamas like me!)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 TBSP avocado oil
As many Chocolate chips as your heart desires (we use or coconut sugar chocolate chips to keep it refined sugar free!)

I like to process the oats in a food processor for a few seconds for a smoother consistency but that’s totally optional
Combine honey and nut butter until smooth. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix until smooth. Place in the fridge for about 10 minutes and then roll into balls and store in the fridge.
