Today I had the pleasure of reconnecting with Aaron Lorenzo, an old friend, and his son Henry, who are visiting from Washington, D.C. I had the privilege of giving Henry his first haircut, a milestone moment for this bright 7-year-old. Wishing them a memorable vacation back home in the Bay Area.

Congratulations and Happy 1st Birthday to Arse Gupta! Today I had the pleasure of giving him his first haircut surrounded by his loving family; I was honored to be part of this celebration.

Hi Everyone, hope everyone is safe after hurricane Milton. As you know, Checkmate Barber shop was left uninhabitable after Helene and Milton. We relocated to a Salon Suite at: 4242 Henderson Blvd, Suite #5. Starting this Tuesday October 15th, Ted and I will begin working (without appointment) to accommodate everyone we have missed the last couple of weeks. As you all know hurricane Helene left its mark on the Bay Area and so many of our friends have felt the devastation. Our shop flooded for the first time in our 30 years at this South Tampa location. We are working quickly to remediate damage from 3 feet of standing water and will be back open soon. We will update our patrons here and are sincerely grateful for your business and for the outpouring of support during this challenging time.
