I did it.
1,500 hours. Just shy of 2 years behind the chair. And every minute of it was worth it.

Shout out to God, because without Him, I wouldn’t be writing this. I’ve walked through joy, exhaustion, inspiration, silent tears, physical burnout, and moments of doubt. But through it all, I showed up. As a full-time working mother, partner, and woman carrying the world on her shoulders, I showed up.

People often say I’m hard on myself and they’re not wrong. If it’s not perfect, it’s not done (I’m working on that). But I’ve learned that grace is just as important as grit. And this is just the beginning.

I’m incredibly proud of myself. What I’ve accomplished isn’t just about hours or technique, it’s about overcoming. As a young mother, life had its plans, and it wasn’t always the right time for me but, when God moves, He moves. It’s never “too late” when the timing is divine.

I’m endlessly thankful for the friendships, the sisterhood, the mentors, and educators who believed in my hands from day one. To my family, thank you for cheering me on from near and far.

To my partner: thank you for creating a space where I could grow without fear. You gave me peace when I needed it most, and that gift is priceless. Your support and care for my children the days I wasn’t able to be there, is priceless.

To my babies—you are my everything. You supported this dream, even when it meant I had to be away more than usual. I remember asking if it was okay to start this journey, and you both told me, “Go, Mommy, we’ll be okay.” I held onto those words every single day.

Being a mother gave me resilience. Faith gave me purpose. Love gave me fuel. And I never gave up—even when I wanted to.
