Got to keep innovating in cancer treatment!
Areas of need:
1-While we are seeing more long-term survivors than ever, there is still an unmet need to help those that don’t have as good outcomes. For example, in those with advanced endometrial or cervical cancer that don’t respond in immunotherapy or those with advanced ovarian cancer that don’t respond to maintenance therapy.
2-Toxicity management! Neuropathy, hair loss, fatigue, how can we do better?
3-Management of recurrent disease and sequencing of novel agents
4-Early detection and or prevention
Thankful for generous donations to support the science 🙏👏❤️ As federal dollars dwindle, this is more important than ever.

Breakout session #1 and #2
We are so lucky to work with 2 amazing Physician Associates and
They co-moderated sessions about intimacy and menopause during and after cancer treatment. Check out and the UCLA comprehensive menopause clinic for resources and help.
Did you know that “over 50% of female breast, gynecological and colorectal cancer survivors report long-term adverse impacts on sexual function after completing therapy? This is underdiagnosed and undertreated in this population.”. Smith et al Maturitas 2022.
in addition, approximately 40% of women with gynecological cancers are pre-menopausal or per menopausal at the time of their diagnosis. They may become immediately postmenopausal after treatment! This can be horribly disruptive to a patient’s quality of life. Every Cancer Center should have menopause experts! We are so lucky to have one.
