Running a salon has taught me that there isn’t one “right” way to lead.

Some of the things I do might make other salon owners cringe—and that’s okay. This is simply the culture I’m choosing to build.

I follow my team on my personal social media. I encourage them to take time off. I teach them everything I know. They have access to their own client information and manage their own books because I want them to build real careers, not just fill my schedule.

Do I expect everyone to run their business this way? Not at all.

But I believe that trust creates loyalty, knowledge creates confidence, and great leaders help people grow—even if one day that growth takes them somewhere new.

The Hive has never been about keeping people small. It’s about helping them become the best artists and professionals they can be, wherever their journey leads. 🐝🤍
