Today marks month 8 since my transplant! It seems like it’s gone so fast yet other times seems like a very slow recovery. I’m forever grateful to my donors family and hope someday I can say thank you. It has given me more time with my family. 💜💚

6 months. It’s been exactly 6 months since I received my new kidney. Sometimes it feels like years ago and other days it feels like yesterday. The kidney is doing awesome and I’m now going to clinic every 2 months instead of every month. Which is great progress to me! I’m still getting used to my food restrictions but I’ll gladly deal with that to keep my kidney healthy for a long time. I’m forever grateful to the family that donated their loved one’s organs. I wish more people did. 💚💜

Wednesday night I got the call that I thought wouldnt come for years. They had a kidney for me! I was shocked, nervous and scared as we drove to University of Chicago. I received my new kidney on Thanksgiving day. 11-23-23 will be just as important to me as my birthday. Thank you to everyone who supported me, gave me an ear to vent to, the person who was going through the evaluation process to try and donate, and everyone else who helped me along during this process. Kidney is working great so far so I will no longer be HuttonForAKidney. 💜💚❤️🤞

Hey everyone just to keep you up to date: just got back from my nepherologist and my kidney function is slowly going down. We are going to check again in two months. If they continue down this path I will be starting to plan for dialysis. If you could please continue with your prayers and share this page to see if someone is willing to share their spare. It has been officially official now. I went from the inactive list to the active list! So excited and scared and mad at the same time! Hoping to find a kidney match soon! 💜💚
