My career day presentation! Had a great time talking to the kids about our beloved industry. A few of them were already cutting hair. Hope it inspires them to shoot for the stars. I was just a couple years older than them when I started. It was pretty cool to see their eyes light as I explained the ins n outs of our trade. It didn’t hurt that my sister helps run the school Thanks for opportunity 💈🏫

Today marks 21 years of the CHOP SHOP! This is my barber school graduation. I am now entering my 33rd year is this wonderful trade of ours. I got to say I still f**ken love it.
This kid in the pic has no idea what the future held for him. Barbering has afforded me a nice comfortable life. I’ve traveled abroad with my craft. I’ve taught classes, one on one sessions and somehow, even bought a f**ken business. There’s been some long days on this journey but I choose this barber life daily. Not only for the love of it but for my customers. You guys put your trust in the shop. I’m grateful for your support. It’s friendships that are formed from simply cutting hair. It makes getting up that much easier when you know you pretty much get to hangout with your friends all day. Saying thank you just isn’t enough, giving you a proper haircut every time is my way of showing gratitude. I’m well aware there are 100s of shops between your house and the CHOP SHOP. I truly thank you for choosing us.
My parents have both passed now and life really isn’t the same without them. However my life is great because of them. Thank you for all your hard work on raising this crazy kid picture here. You let me be me but I still caught a backhand when I went too far. Forever grateful to have you both.
I want to thank everyone for their support over the years. You’ve made me a better barber and I made you less ugly, that is a win/win. Wishing you all a prosperous new year, see you next week, PUTOOOS 🙏🏽
