Hey I know it tis the season and we are all busy AF. Let me just leave you a tip so that you can avoid that dreaded phone call the night before Christmas Eve from your client about how her hair isn’t exactly what she expected.
Sometimes to slow the process of highlights I start pulling out the foils. There are a few things that I benefit by doing this:
•the actual level of lift is apparent so formulating a toner is quicker as it’s already something I’m thinking about
•the contrast & placement is revealed so the client and myself can visualize the end results
•I can decide if I need more lightened pieces or if it would look better with a root smudge or literally anything
Over all it’s a good idea even if it does take some extra time.
