Is your horse recovering from an injury, or having soreness from a change in exercise? Do you just want to keep them going the best they can go? Give massage therapy a try. Massage therapy benefits our equine partners just as much as it benefits us. It has been shown to relieve pain, increase flexibility, increase circulation, and many more positive effects. If you're looking to ride into the fall show season at the top of your game, give Fair Winds Massage a call. We can work on you and your equine partner!

Stressed out? Massage can help. There are several studies that suggest massage can reduce stress. At the very least we should take time for ourselves to relax.

Psoas day is not always a fun day, but it is often a necessary day for us equestrians. The psoas muscle, deep along our spine, greatly effects our ability to ride comfortably. When it is tight it can cause our pelvis to tip forward, our low back to hyper extend, and our thighs to rotate outward (tightening our inner thigh or adductors.) All of these postures negatively impact our ability to sit in the saddle and effectively give aids to our horse. Not to mention, when we're out of the saddle, tight psoas muscles can cause all manner of low back, hip, and thigh pain.
To get some hip flexor relief give us a call and schedule an appointment today!
