These last 9 months have absolutely flown by and we couldn’t feel more complete with having her in our arms.

It’s the strokes and shading for me!

We added some warmth and depth to her brows as the original color we chose at her initial appointment 7months ago was a little too cool toned for my liking.

When we initially shaded in between the strokes we opted for a lighter shading but she found herself wanting more. So, that’s what we gave her! And the results are sure worth it!

I am so thankful to my clients for their dedication and for trusting me through this journey. Not every brow heals the same. Some may need more than one touch up in some areas depending on how the brows heals.

Buildable.

This is why I LOVE this process. When a client is nervous about the going too dark, or too dense, we start slow. More strokes or even shading can always be added at the touch up appointments.

Don’t ever think you have to go “all in” right away! Let’s build up to it!

This beauty wanted to stay as close to her natural hairline as possible while starting out on the lighter side of strokes.

At her touch up we have discussed adding more strokes and the potential of shading.

Giving into FEAR... I’ve been guilty of this lately and I’m not proud of it.

I’ve been fearful of so many things- failure, being less of a mom and woman, the future, the past (which we all know does no good to stay here)... the list goes on.

But I refuse to let it define me.. instead I will learn from it. I will grow from it. I will push it aside and not live in it.

I will not be perfect but I will continue to strive to do my very best every day in all aspects in life. 💪🏼

The healing process can seem scary and confusing, but it’s SO worth it!

Within the first 24-48hrs following your service, your brows will appear significantly darker in color. This darkening is due to the pigment oxidizing within the skin. THIS IS NORMAL and will not be like this forever!

Days 5-7 you will notice your brows start to scab and peel. With the peeling will come pigment. We want to minimize peeling as much as possible, however it is inevitable. Keeping the brows hydrated throughout the entire healing process will keep as much pigment in your skin as possible. DO NOT PICK AT THE SCABS!

Around days 10-14 in your healing process, you may notice peeling has concluded, however your brows are SIGNIFICANTLY lighter/ non existent. DON’T panic! For the initial service, this is normal and the pigment will return slightly around the 3-4 week mark. It’s almost as if the skin “spits” the pigment back out.

Touch Up Appointment • this is where the magic happens! The skin “remembers” the process and keeps the pigment for good. You will go through the entire healing process again, however the pigment will not fade as significantly. The skin wants to keep those brows looking beautiful this time around!

Microblading levels up the makeup game! Filling in your brows daily is a thing of the past.

Did you hear the news? Oil based eyeliners are a thing of the past!

You see, oils break down adhesives. It’s science!

Pencil, crayon, waterproof and cream eyeliners all have an oil base. Even though you may think “it’s only touching my eyelid”, think again sista!

Oils move with heat. Therefore that beautiful winged line you created will slowly move into your lash line throughout the day.

As the liner sits on your lashes, it not only adds weight to them, the oils will start to break down the adhesive that is used to adhere those beauties to your natural lashes. Even just a “few hours” of an oil based liner on your extensions will cause major retention issues my friends!

So you may be thinking: Well fine, I’ll just put it on my lower lashes! WRONG!

You blink throughout the day right? YES! When you blink, you’re shutting your eyes and believe it or not, our bottom and top lashes touch! 😱 Therefore, that pencil eyeliner is still going to travel and touch those top lash extensions.

What’s the solution then? I’ll tell you!

Healed vs Freshly Touched Up

This beauty followed pre and post aftercare to a T and it shows! Her retention at her 10 week touch up is 🔥.

Following the pre appointment care is just as crucial as the post appointment care. Preparing your body properly for your service will give you the ideal healed results your brows deserve.

I ask all of my clients to prepare the same 48hrs prior to their service as these items thin the blood or compromise the skin and we want minimal bleeding:

👉🏼do not consume ibuprofen, Advil or blood thinning medications (consult with your MD for approval)
👉🏼do not consume alcohol
👉🏼do not consume any caffeine the morning of
👉🏼do not consume any vitamins, herbal or oil supplements
👉🏼 stop using any retinol or glycolic products
👉🏼no tanning or sun exposure prior to

I promise this is all worth it my friends!
