Expert Greg Metzger discusses great white shark discovery in Quogue A juvenile great white shark was found washed up on the beach in Quogue on Wednesday morning. CBS2's Carolyn Gusoff spoke with Greg Metzger, the chief field coordinator of the South Fork Natural History Museum and Nature Center, about the discovery and if it should cause any concern.

It’s been 4 years and 1 month since I blew out my wrist in an ice skating accident. When I say blew out, I really mean it. Shattered might be a better word 🤔It’s been a long road to recovery, as you can see in the first pic (today) my hand and wrist still carry’s swelling and tissue/ muscle damage and I’m just now able to make a fist. I still cannot bend it more than that. The second pic was from the year before I broke it, I was in pretty good shape. The doctors said I’d never do push-ups again, or be able to put full body pressure/weight in it without severe pain, and it would always be deformed. But God is so good…. So faithful. Through hard work and lots of prayers, sweat and tears, I’m back to lifting weights and even able to do push-ups again (modified for now😉)! Nobody talks about the emotional side of the recovery process though. It was a really rough road. Not just the pain, but all the physical limitations. For 11 weeks I had absolutely no use of my left hand. Period. You don’t realize how much you use both hands and arms, it’s crazy lol. Even my fingers were pinned. When I walked out of my second surgery, I literally started physical therapy the next day. My fingers were locked, wrist was locked and the muscles in more forearm are non existent now. You can feel the bone right through the skin. I spent hrs every day crying and moving my fingers, as the therapist had to literally break the scar tissue just to get mobility back. If the pain isn’t enough, the emotional end from your body going through a huge trauma like that is unbelievable. I don’t wish bone reconstruction on my worst enemy. But I am stubborn and always break the mold,so I made it happen. God was right there with me the whole time encouraging me and holding me up when I was in such a bad place. I am so thankful for all the people who brought meals and came to visit, sent encouraging texts. You have no idea how much that meant to me♥️. I’m looking forward to reaching my fitness goals again, slow and steady, and continuing to heal my wrist and get more mobility. 3rd pic is of my scar now .I’ll save you all from the gnarly wrist pics of when it was broken and post op lol🤢😛🥴
