I’ve heard clients joke before “the best stylists don’t do their own hair because they’re too busy doing everyone else’s” 😅 The way that I personally show up in the salon has fluctuated throughout my career. There were times I spent hours doing my hair, make up, and picking my outfit before work. There were times that I did the bare minimum and lived in lounge wear and a bun. I find myself someplace in the middle now. My question to clients is: does any of this matter? Do you value your stylist’s appearance or is the work the only thing that matters?
