My name is Lillie Thornton. I have worked in the beauty industry for over 38 years. I love our industry, because we do more than cut hair or moisture skin. We actually help people to see their own beauty, inside and out. I am committed to playing an active part in elevating our industry. Unfortunately, this is a common theme in salon companies right now. Being a leader in the salon, we need to be make sure we prioritize our own well-being. If your holding back emotions to be strong for your team, family and the people around you it will catch up sooner or later. Find what works for you to release these emotions. Watch a movie that you know makes you cry. Get outside and connect with nature even if it’s only a 15 minute walk. Just sit and breathe in silence. Speak out load all the things your grateful for.
