Austin leads our community with a caring heart, steady leadership, and a service oriented mindset. He is always willing to step in and help wherever he is needed, no task is ever too big or too small. He encourages those around him to have grit—reminding us to stay strong, keep going, and face challenges with determination. His ability to simplify things and make them clear helps everyone feel confident and capable.

We are incredibly grateful for the support, encouragement, and compassion he brings to our community each day.

Thank you, Austin, for all that you do and for always leading with humility and heart. We hope this year brings you the same joy and kindness that you so generously give to others.

Today we celebrate the freedoms we cherish, the sacrifices that made them possible, and the joy of coming together as a community.

This week we had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate with a festive BBQ - planned by our THRIVE Resident Event Planning Committee. We’re thankful for their helping hands and thoughtful contributions. Their involvement makes each event even more meaningful. One of the greatest gifts was simply seeing so many smiles gathered in one place. Moments like these fill our hearts with gratitude and remind us how fortunate we are to share life together.

Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us and continues to make our village such a special place to call home.

🍕👨‍🍳 Pizza Crew Reporting for Duty! 👨‍🍳🍕

Residents Chris, Barbie, and Pam rolled up their sleeves and joined Chef Jenine in the kitchen to help make pizza for lunch today!

At White Oak Village, we believe that in all things we do, we do with our residents. Whether it's preparing meals, planning events, tending gardens, or enjoying activities together, our residents are active participants in the life of our community. 💜

Today's pizza-making session was a perfect example of THRIVE in action — creating purpose, connection, and meaningful engagement through everyday experiences.

And judging by the smiles (and the finished product), we'd say this pizza-making team did a pretty great job! 🍕✨

A special thank you goes out to our resident-led Event Planning Committee, our kitchen team, management team, and care staff. Events like this don't happen by accident — they happen because of dedicated people working together to create meaningful experiences for our residents, their friends and families, and all those who call our community part of their lives.

Our residents took advantage of this beautiful summer day with a scenic bus ride to the lake. Fresh air, sunshine, great conversation, and beautiful views made for the perfect afternoon adventure. 💜
