All About Cream Foundation...

Easy to use

If you get it in the wrong place you can wipe it right off. With powders it can be quite hard to correct your mistakes. Cream can apply in a thin layer and is very hard to mess up!

Looks like a second skin

When you put it on, it doesn’t change the texture or moisture of your skin! A lot of other products are very drying but cream gives you a natural looking finish. The dewy texture is very unique to creams and gives you a gorgeous natural glow.

Cara challenges you to recreate the look you get with IIID foundation in a Sephora or other large makeup store. Notice how long it takes, how much you used, and if you feel like you look like you have IIID foundation on. Chances are it will help you understand just how great the texture of creams really is!

Can be touched up easily

Because it is like a second skin, it is really easy to spot treat and update your look.

Gentle on your skin

This product will make your skin happy. Products that set are very irritating on your skin and can dry it out.

The makeup doesn’t set!

When you’re used to your makeup setting it seems strange at first. Creams can move and give you the natural movement of your face. Creams don’t crease as much as other setting makeups either because it won’t set into your fine lines!

Works on all types of skin

Dry, oily, combination, it doesn’t matter. Cara really believes it is perfect for each skin type. We feel like 99% of people can use and benefit from creams which is why it is all we offer at this point. We wouldn’t want to create a bunch of products that aren’t a good fit for most people and overwhelm and confuse them when creams work on almost anyone!


Challenges With Creams

It doesn’t set

You can use STAY and powder to set the makeup if you feel it is slipping. You also may be using too much product! Sometimes we also notice slipping when the customer is applying moisturizer or primer before putting on the makeup.

Feels greasy, sticky and oily

Most of our customers are probably not used to a dewy finish. We don’t want to look dry, but it can be a hard transition. Cara believes in celebrating each woman's natural beauty, and her hope is show them that are beautiful with a dewy finish. Youthful skin has a glowy finish.

Texture shows through

Texture issues are almost always color problems. If you feel like one part of your skin has a texture problem, you may need a different color on those specific parts of your skin. Make sure you exfoliate and moisturize. If you can see the flakes, cream will not cover up that texture! Get Cure Gel to remove dead skin and flakes. It’s a wonderful exfoliator!

The question of Maskcara being ‘All Natural’

Cara supports people who focus on ingredients and certifications even though she does not specifically look at those claims. A lot of companies use these ‘certifications’ as a marketing tool! We don’t ever claim anything that isn’t regulated because Cara feels like it’s taking advantage of the consumer and that is why the products don’t say ‘oil free’ or ‘all natural’. Cara believes in putting top quality ingredients in her products that is very gentle on skin. Feel confident that we don’t use misleading marketing techniques, but we do use ingredients that compete with those products who claim those certifications. The company that does our foundation also does skin care and is very committed to being gentle on skin with top notch ingredients!

Hopefully this little intro to creams can help you better educate and troubleshoot. We know it Is a transition but is 100% a change worth making!
