We need transport drivers!🚙 If you're in the tri-state area, we need YOU! We especially need drivers in the Manhattan, Jersey City, and Hoboken areas. Transport volunteers are the unsung heroes of rescue, helping dogs and cats get to/from veterinary appointments, adoption events, or their new HOMES! You get to be a very special part of an animal's journey to their second chance. 🐶

You can commit to whatever time you are able to in this role. This is our largest group of volunteers, and we need more amazing folks to help us make a difference in an animal's life!💙

Our animals need you!

We want to share an update with you on our sweet girl Freya. If you recall, last week this poor girl was found hobbling down a road in rural Mississippi. Just skin and bones, you can tell she had been out on her own for sometime. She also has an old injury to her back leg, and she will require orthopedic surgery to correct that. She is just 5 years old! We thought she was much older, given her presentation. Lisa went and picked her up from the emergency vet, and she is resting and getting good meals in a medical foster in Mississippi. She is so so sweet, we can’t imagine anyone leaving her to fend for herself. She is very sweet with other dogs, and loves getting pets and being loved on. Thank you so much for helping us to save her life! She is so worth it. Once she makes her way here to NY after the holiday, we will schedule her surgery.
