Update 15: had another MRI Friday night. Met with oncologist today and after results, they have decided to take me off the immunotherapy and go dircectly to oral meds only at this time. They are hoping this will speed things up as well as begins to strengthen me. Thank you for prayers and well wishes.

Update 14: Had second infusion yesterday. No side effects this morning other than continued weakness. Since last update, they have found blood clot in my good leg and have put me on blood thinners. Unfortunately they said additional wine would not help, so no more drinking here. I have also been put on high BP medication due to it being extremely high. Hoping it’s just all of the combined meds as I’ve never had high BP before. They are discussing switching me over to an oral treatment which would help with muscle strength and fatigue but waiting to look at brain swelling in next MRI and to see if insurance will help cover this.
They have also tripled my anti seizure meds as I am still fighting those.
I am in this battle full force but gonna win this war.

Update 13: went to oncologist today about weakness and swelling in legs. The weakness seems to be coming from what we thought were muscle spasms and turns out it was seizures. He is reducing my steroids, which should help with swelling and upping my anti seizure medicine. Hopefully this will smooth things out over the next week. We now have appointment for ultrasound on legs to make sure of no blood clots and scan of heart because of a blood test result. He didn’t seem too worried about that, so we aren’t either. After these two test we meet again next week and will press on.

Update 12: we completed first immunotherapy treatment last week and it went pretty well. I have now lost all strength in both legs and can’t really stand. Not sure if it’s from treatment or maybe something else. We are meeting with oncologist today as it is listed as one of the side effects and said contact your doctor. We are hoping it is something simple that they can do to boost my strength. We will keep everyone posted. Thanks for all of the prayers and we’ll wishes.

Update 11:00. Back on strong steroids and have gotten some use of my left side back. Still in wheelchair but starting to get some strength on left side. We m t with Oncologist and we start treatments next Tuesday. We will be doing immunotherapy three hours every three weeks for four sessions and hopefully kick this things butt.
