💗 A VERY SPECIAL GOODBYE TO SAM 💗
There are some posts that are really hard to write… and this is one of them.
Almost 20 years ago, Sam was the very first person I hired at Pigtails & Crewcuts.
Over the years, we have celebrated the good times, worked through the hard times, watched our families grow and change, welcomed thousands of children through our doors, and experienced lots of ups and downs.
And through all those years, Sam wasn't just my employee. She became part of my Pigtails family. ❤️
If you've had the privilege of having Sam cut your child's hair, you know there is something special about her. She has always had a way with kids. The nervous. The wiggly, tears, laughter, the ones who needed a little extra patience and understanding. And the children with special needs who sometimes needed someone who could slow down, listen, and meet them exactly where they were.
She just gets kids.
And she has shared that gift with so many people over the years. A little piece of Sam will continue in the stylists she has taught, and I am so grateful for that. ❤️
But I also know that doesn't make saying goodbye any easier.
Sam has built an incredible following over the years, and there are families who have trusted her with their children's hair for years and years. She has watched some of those little ones grow from their very first haircut into teenagers —
Sam, I am so incredibly thankful for you.
Thank you for taking a chance on me and Pigtails and Crewcuts all those years ago. Thank you for sticking with me through the crazy, the stressful, the exciting and everything in between. Thank you for loving our little customers and for helping make Pigtails and Crewcuts what it is today.
Nearly 20 years is a LONG time to share a workplace, but somehow, it still feels like it went by way too fast.
I am excited for you to begin this next chapter, even though I'm selfishly wishing I could keep you here forever.
Saturday September 26th will be her last day!!
