It can be super frustrating to take the time to curl your hair, only for the curls to fall out hours later. Here’s some tips and tricks to help your curls last longer!

Tip #1
Opt for smaller-sized curling irons or curling wands as they can create tighter curls that are more likely to hold. I personally use .75” curling iron for my curls to hold all week long.

Tip #2
Use a lightweight mousse or volumizing spray before curling to add texture and grip to your hair, helping the curls hold better. I love Unite Elevate Mousse for this!

Tip #3
Consider using a heat protectant spray with hold before styling to prevent damage that can make your hair less responsive to curling while also providing some hold. I love Unite 7 Seconds Glossing for this!

Tip #4
Hold each curl in the curling iron or wand for an
adequate amount of time to allow it to set. Typically, 10-15 seconds should be enough, but adjust based on your hair’s thickness and the desired level of curl.

Tip #5
After curling each section, allow the curls to cool and set before touching or brushing them. This can help the curls hold their shape for a longer period. You can also pin the curl in place to allow it to fully cool before unraveling.
