Well I took a break from bleaching and vivids in my first trimester, but the bright hair is back and I’m feeling like myself again! 🌹

All color used is Pravana.

It’s finally May, which means it’s Mental Health Awareness Month!

I live with lifelong mental illness, including generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder. Living with these illnesses can make life extremely difficult. Discussing my experiences publicly is not easy, and I used to keep quiet due to stigma, embarrassment, and judgments from others. But I realized that so many others were struggling like me, so I decided that sharing my story is worth any negativity if it helps someone else.

This year marks my 5th year of participating in the Out of the Darkness Walk hosted by the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention. This involves sharing my story, fundraising, putting together a team, and walking in the Waco community walk. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to walk this year since I am pregnant and the event is 3 days before my due date! I am, however, still fundraising and creating a team for those who would like to walk. I will make a separate post sharing my donation page and team sign up page.

This was a fun transformation! We started by cutting off a few inches to freshen her up for spring. Then I refreshed her color with a plum/red violet color melt using all Pravana Chromasilk colors! We finished by styling with Olaplex No. 9 serum, No. 7 oil, blow dry mist, and Bio Ionic SmartX dryer and 10X flat iron. Check the comments for her before photo! ♥️

I loved working with this new client! She was so sweet and I’m honored that she trusted me with this major transformation. She was ready for a shorter, lower maintenance look. This client was ready for a change! She grew out her hair for her son’s wedding, but now that he’s married she was ready to chop it off! She wanted a shorter length and fun, shaggy layers for texture and volume.

Cleansing: I used Olaplex No. 4C clarifying shampoo for a deep clean and 4-in-1 Moisture Mask for hydration and shine.

Styling: I blow dried with my Bio Ionic SmartX dryer and Olaplex No. 9 Nourishing Serum + Volumizing Blowdry Mist for heat protection and volume.

A fun layered haircut and blowout on a super sweet client!

Styled with Aiirprofessional Dry Texture Mousse concentrated at the roots for volume and a little Smoothing Cream through the mid-shaft and ends for heat protection and hydration. I dried with a medium size round brush and my Bio Ionic SmartX dryer, no hot iron needed!
