this total transformation took us the course of two appointment cycles (about 16 weeks). we had been coloring em’s hair a delicious golden brunette color for over a year and making the switch to go bright red meant taking all that brunette out and making a pit stop at blonde. my first priority is to always keep your hair healthy and never push your hair past it’s limits. giving her hair time to recoup as a blonde for two months (while she used salon recommended products) meant that when we took her red at her next appointment the color would process better and live in her hair longer between appointments.

we finished em’s total transformation from brunette to red head with one row of hand tied extensions for fullness.
