Ahhh!! This cute little hut of a restaurant in Mindo Ecuador! How adorable is it?! I am constantly impressed with the artistic touch on every little tienda, café and restaurant all throughout Ecuador. People here seem very intube with their creativity and the use and reuse of natural things to add the elements of design. So inspirational in so many ways.
We visited the cloud forest of Mindo a few weeks ago and really enjoyed this little town. With its different climate of heat and humidity, I was taken back to my Alabama days. 🥵 The hiking, waterfalls, flora and fauna were indescribable. Absolutely beautiful nature there.

This is the view from our casa. 😍 We live at the base of two, ahem, (dormant) volcanoes. This is the Imbabura and faces the mama Cotacachi (not pictured). I can tell you, this view never gets old. And no matter where we are walking, driving, biking… it’s always in our view. This massive form of nature itself is absolute pure beauty.

Possibly the prettiest in the world? Hmmm… we shall see. Have to admit I was excited to reintroduce myself to old once or twice a day habit of SB’s iced triple espresso with 1p WCM topped off with H&H. 🥳 Kind of fun to dip my toe back into a little western convenience….. with the beautiful backdrop of Mexico. 😍.

Our two weeks in San Miguel de Allende MX did not disappoint!! For years my artist and traveler friends have been telling me that I have to go, so it’s been on my bucket list. So what more perfect time to go than after the wedding ceremony.
San Miguel de Allende- SMA to the locals and expats there- is a truly beautiful magical place. It has been referenced as the Disneyland of Mexico, but I like to think of it as a “Mexico and Italy had a baby” kind of thing. Beautiful colonial Latin American city with a European feel. (Insert chef’s kiss) 🥰
Lovely cafes, art galleries, rooftop restaurants complete with a backdrop of a very specific color palette of earth tone painted architecture of shades of terra cotta, pinks, mauves and golds….. what’s not to love?!😍

I created this account because I believe in the importance of seeing beauty everywhere you are. It’s there! There for us to behold. Sharing my world and perspective through beauty is the purpose of this account. Recognizing beauty no matter where we are, pausing to see… hear…. feel… brings us back to life and beauty. Grounds us. Keeps our perspective in check and the reward is mindset shift and positivity.
Look around. Take notice. Be grateful. Every moment. Every breath. 💕☀️

There are so many choices of how to live in Ecuador. This beautiful country offers you coastal living, Andean living, city living, jungle… you name it, EC has it. After our initial exploratory trip, we fell in love with the Imbabura province which is a valley in the Andes situated around a few (inactive) volcanoes 🌋 that take my breath away on the daily.
We live in the Puebla mágica Cotacachi, a small artisan town known for its leather goods and handicrafts. The town is nestled in the foothills of the Andes at an altitude of 2,418 meters. (Takes a little time to acclimate to this 25% less oxygen) 😅 And since we live on the equator, the weather is springlike year round. 🥳
Everyday I am grateful for this opportunity to live in such a beautiful, peaceful place. 🙏🏻

Originally from Huntsville Alabama-yes you read right- I moved to the Bay Area in California in 2018. I knew one day I wanted to live abroad and figured this was the closest thing to doing that while living in the US. 🙃
CA and I fell in love at first sight! I mean….. wow- it’s an amazing place to live. Absolutely beautiful and so rich with beauty, nature, diversity and the absolute best weather. Everyday.
We explored, experienced and soaked it in, knowing it was a limited time but not sure where we would go next. And then the pandemic hit and so many things changed for all of us. Our work, our family, our views and priorities. 🙏🏻
So in December of 2021, we left for Ecuador with 4 suitcases each and haven’t looked back. Everyday here is a new adventure and sharing with you is the fun part.

A big hello 👋 (or should I say Hola) from Ecuador!! As most of you know, nine months ago I decided to move with my then partner-now husband to Cotacachi Ecuador.
I hung up the hair stylist/colorist apron for good to pursue my dream of working as a full time artist 👩🎨 and live abroad in a country rich with culture. And it has been amazing. Beautiful climate, new language, and breathtaking scenery all around, Ecuador does not disappoint.
This new page is intended to keep you up to date with just what living this dream is made up of and to share beauty from all around the world from my travels for the past 7 years to now.
For my clients: I miss you and your great conversations and for my new followers, I’m excited to have you follow along this journey with me.
Lots to share- including the name change 😉- coming soon.
Until then… Carpe diem 💕
