A Little about the founder, Elizabeth Finch Howell is a distinguished leader and lecturer in the field of permanent cosmetics. She has been manufacturing pigments, which are now used globally, since 1989. In that same year, she was invited to join the offices of Dr. Roy Geronemus, former Chief of Laser Surgery at NYU, and offer permanent cosmetic services, specializing in camouflaging at the New York Laser and Skin Surgery Center.
In 1992, Miss Howell earned the prestigious credentials as the Director of the Department of Permanent Cosmetics at Saint Barnabas Hospital in Livingston, NJ, the first hospital in the country to have a department for cosmetic tattooing. As an entrepreneur, Ms. Howell recognized the need for alternatives to permanent cosmetics for people with conditions that deemed them unlikely candidates for cosmetic tattooing and created the Apres Laser line of topical waterproof corrective cosmetics.
She is a past president and past ethics chair for the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals, the largest organization for permanent cosmetic professionals in the world.

Being an educator in this industry means more to me than just regurgitating one brand or one technique. Obviously, at some point you embrace a product, brand or theory. However, in my humble opinion, education should be neutral and without agenda. It’s becoming more and more difficult to uncover agendas as by giving free knowledge away is becoming the most popular “lose-leader” in our industry. As a consumer we are very blessed. There is so much information out there on the web. This is one of my biggest filters as far as coaches on my platform. The PMU Coach Collaborative has no proprietary foundation. The PMU Coach Collaborative doesn’t serve anything other than a centralized resource for the top artists and trainers I have personally come across and have had the privilege to know. I create unbiased content with their support and guidance. I’ve been an artist and educator for almost 20 years. I still must have collaboration, teamwork and fun in my career. I believe that we are all making this industry something great. I believe that this team is a beautiful example of independent artists being able to be autonomous, as well as benefiting the effort as a whole.
