Goooooooood gods, do I love my copper babes!! ❤️‍🔥

This is the PERFECT toasty, golden copper — with the softest hint of a cool undertone — for spring, as well as my client’s complexion!

At our first appointment we had incorporated this same shade as a peek-a-boo, while adding in soft dimensions with a lighter shade to melt into her natural color throughout the crown.
After some time with it, she loved the peek-a-boo so much that she just HAD to have it all over…and you know me, I will ALWAYS deliver!
Additionally, we touched up her layers and face framing to reinstate that incredible movement in her tresses. 🙌🏻

I also am obsessed with the fact that copper is no longer being seen as an autumn-only staple, but embraced as a year round hot commodity! 🤌🏻✨

I didn’t realize the post never finalized yesterday, so here it is:

I decided to block off my day tomorrow in solidarity with our fellow Americans under siege, participating in the ICE OUT strike. ❌🧊❌

Every day it becomes more arduous for me to post my work, as it feels like I’m glossing over the injustices taking place in the only country I’ve ever called home. A country that I was taught, and believed, was founded on the principle of being a melting pot: that you are FREE to be who you are, to believe in your own faith of your choosing, and to pursue life, liberty and happiness. Evidence proves otherwise, stretching beyond recent history.
Repetitions of the horrific accounts I read in historical books, both in school and my free time, happening before our very eyes.

That being said, art is SO important right now, especially when you consider that art has always been — at least in part — politically relevant.
Hair is art. Therefore hair IS political, and even more so as the radical creative I am.

I work with ALL hair types. I offer support and gender affirming care to my clients. I DO NOT DISCRIMINATE, nor do I affiliate with anyone who does.

Hate has no welcome in my home, my heart, my life, and definitely not my chair.
ALL of my clients deserve to feel safe, seen, heard, respected and valued.
No ifs, ands, OR buts.

So if it wasn’t clear where I stood before…let me be crystal:
I do not stand for ICE, this fascist agenda, nor the administration behind it all.
I stand with humanity, with morality.
