It's easy to think that one purchase can’t make much of a difference. But when it comes to ethical beauty, those small choices can add up to something powerful.

The women who produce our shea butter are skilled artisans who use traditional techniques passed down through generations. Through long-term partnerships with Shea Yeleen, these cooperatives earn sustainable incomes while preserving cultural craftsmanship.

So when you nourish your skin, you’re also supporting women, families, and communities.

Skincare that feels good, in every sense of the word.

There’s a common misconception that all shea butter is the same, but the truth is, how it’s sourced and processed makes all the difference.

At Shea Yeleen, our shea butter is traditionally handcrafted and kept unrefined to preserve the nutrients your skin loves . Which includes vitamins A, E, and D. These naturally occurring vitamins help nourish skin, support elasticity, and lock in long-lasting hydration.

When ingredients are respected and processed with care, your skin can truly feel the difference.

Which skincare myth should we bust next?

This Women’s History Month, we’re honoring women who changed history and continue to inspire generations.

From entrepreneurship to environmental justice and political leadership, these women paved the way for progress and possibility.

Esther Afua Ocloo – A Ghanaian entrepreneur who championed women’s economic empowerment and helped expand opportunities for women entrepreneurs across Africa

Wangari Maathai – Founder of the Green Belt Movement and the first African woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize, empowering rural women through environmental conservation and economic opportunity.

Maya Angelou – A celebrated poet, author, and civil rights activist whose powerful words inspired generations to embrace courage, identity, and resilience.

Madam C. J. Walker – The first self-made female millionaire in the U.S., she built a groundbreaking beauty empire and created economic opportunities for thousands of Black women.

Their legacies remind us that when women lead, communities grow stronger.

At Shea Yeleen and Yeleen Beauty, we’re also inspired every day by the incredible women we work with — from the founders who have participated in our three beauty cohorts with WACIF, to the dedicated Shea Yeleen and Yeleen Beauty team, and the women-led shea cooperatives in Northern Ghana who are at the heart of everything we do.

This month, we celebrate the women who made history and the women who are shaping the future.

This is where every Shea Yeleen product starts. As a shea seed, picked at just the right moment. Long before it becomes the rich, nourishing butter you know and love, it passes through the hands of incredible women who have mastered this process for generations.

At Shea Yeleen, we work directly with women-led cooperatives in Northern Ghana. Where shea seeds are harvested, processed, and transformed into high-quality, unrefined shea butter.

From seed to skin, beauty should feel good at every step.
