Not all sunscreen works the same way—and the difference matters, especially if you’re in active treatment for acne, pigmentation, redness, or sensitivity.

Chemical SPF absorbs UV rays and converts them to heat, which can trigger inflammation in sensitive or reactive skin.

Mineral SPF sits on the surface of the skin and physically deflects UV rays without generating heat.
