More importantly which ones are safe to use if you have hair extensions. There’s two ingredient you need to keep your eye out for Avebenzone and Octocrylene. Even though they absorb the UVA rays they can create a chemical reaction in your hair extensions, which can cause damage and discoloration to the hair. For example in blonde hair extensions it turns a peachy tone, which sometimes can be reversed, but not guaranteed.

So with summer coming here are some tips and sunscreen recommendations to protect your hair extensions.

✨First and most important is to tie up hair securely in a bun. Making sure it doesn’t touch your skin in any way before applying any sunscreen.

✨Second is finding a sunscreen WITHOUT those ingredients or switching to a mineral sunscreen. Here’s some suggestions:

* Bare Republic

* Sun Bum (make sure to check the ingredients)

Well honestly both are beneficial for your hair!

They reduce friction, preventing breakage and split ends.

Also help maintain moisture, keeping hair hydrated and less prone to frizz.

Furthermore, they can help preserve hairstyles and reduce tangles, which in turn leads to smoother, healthier-looking hair!

✨ Use a wide-tooth comb or a detangling brush to gently work through knots. Remembering to start from the bottom and working your way up.
