I’ve tried my best to put into words what the last week has felt like, but every time I try, I fail. As many of you know, I was expecting a baby last week. I had my baby boy last Tuesday, but I also lost my dad the very same day. ⁣
A lot of you know my dad from the salon as the gentleman who helped you with your payments. My dad was the biggest supporter of my dreams……I honestly couldn’t have done a lot of this without him. ⁣
There’s so much I want to say about my dad but it’s very hard right now. It’s hard to celebrate my newborn when I’ve lost my dad. He was waiting eagerly for his second grandson to arrive. In fact, his last text message before he passed away was asking if my son had arrived and I was in labor then. I am beyond heartbroken that he won’t get to see him. ⁣
I just wanted to give you guys an update here because I get a lot of messages asking if the baby is here or if I’m back to work. Yes, the baby is here. I don’t know when I’ll be back to work, but hopefully it will be sometime next month.⁣
Thank you for checking in on me and please pray for my dad’s soul. A lot of you knew him really well and if you have any funny stories or moments shared with him, please share them with me. ⁣
