Governor Lamont has decided to push the opening of salons back, to ensure that all salons are prepared to safely reopen, so we will no longer be opening May 20th. The governor has set a target date of June 1st, but that is subject to change. We apologize for any inconvenience, and will continue to update you as we receive more information. Thank you for your patience!

The latest guidelines from the state of Connecticut allow us to use blow dryers in the salon. Hope to see you all soon!

We are now planning on a phased-in reopening on May 20th. Please read all of the following important information.

In accordance with the State of Connecticut Sector Rules for Reopen we will be observing the following rules:

- Visits by appointment only
- No waiting room
- Salon to operate at 50% capacity
- Masks or cloth coverings to be worn at all times by both clients and staff
- New clean capes and towels for each client
- Adherence to strict cleaning and disinfecting protocols in all settings
- Provision of hand sanitizer and disinfecting products or wipes
- Adherence to proper social distancing between stations and seating

We are following the official rules that we receive directly from the State of Connecticut. We will modify our procedures as we receive new information. We realize that this will not be the salon experience you are used to here at Salon Medusa, but the safety of our staff and clients is our utmost priority. We appreciate your support and understanding!

To comply with these rules our stylist availability and hours will be limited and will vary. Please call to set up an appointment with your specific stylist. We are not currently in the salon to answer phones, so leave a detailed message, and someone will get back to you within 24 hours.

If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, you are prohibited from entering the salon: cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, headache, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell.

When you arrive for your appointment, please call 860 236-3344 to check in, and remain outside or in your car until we call you.

Although we now have a tentative re-open date of May 20th, we have not yet received guidelines regarding scheduling and salon capacity. As soon as we receive these guidelines, we will begin booking appointments. Check back for updates, and stay safe!

Here at Salon Medusa, your health, safety, and well-being has always been our priority. In response to the current situation we have taken action to ensure the safety of our clients. Stations, chairs, and capes are disinfected between clients. All stylists and staff are practicing handwashing. Gloves and hand sanitizer are available for our clients. And, as always, we will continue with our high standards of cleanliness and disinfection. The most important thing that you could do to protect yourself and your family is practicing good hygiene. However, if you have the following symptoms; fever, cough, shortness of breath, or flu-like symptoms, please call to reschedule your appointment. We will closely monitor any new guidelines and recommendations from the CDC along with state agencies and health officials and make any adjustments if necessary.
